I seriously think I need some new gears: a video camera, a fish eye lens… and a skateboard -maybe. And I also think that I should just switch courses to something like MMA.

I’m blaming my brother and cousins for this.

We all heard how James Franco planned on going into directing. To be honest, I was actually looking forward in seeing his works behind the camera. If you have seen some of his interviews, you would definitely see that he is more than what meets the eye.

Now, we actually can get a sneak peak on how he is with directing.

Check this video and see how James Franco worked behind the camera for 7 For All Mankind's newest campaign coming out this May!

Watching this -and how he worked the camera, I can't wait to see the finish product. And fyi, he even edited this video.

So whatchaguysthink? :)

Isn't it beautiful to look at illustrations with colors such as these?  I love the rich dark tones underlying the soft light ones, making the drawing look so ethereal and yet strong and captivating. These definitely inspire me.

I admire artists who make watercolor paintings -huge fan!

Once in a while take only yourself for a journey.
Once in a while lay underneath the heavens.
Once in a while sing like your life depended on it.
Once in a while dance like no one is looking.
Once in a while dream of a far away place.
Once in a while love with everything you have.
Because we only get to really live once in a while.

I want to introduce these 2 people in my life: my brother Patrick, and my cousin, Miko. Two of my fave subjects to photograph with. Check out previous/other posts to see what I'm talking about or the ones with the tags: skateboarding or not yo' cup o' joe.

I just love how this two get along with their differences. You can tell by their styles how different they are, and yet love the same thing which is skateboarding.

To be honest, I've had enough of taking photographs of these 2 to last me a life time. Kidding! But hopefully, I get to shoot other skaters with them. See italicization as emphasis. haha! But seriously. =)

So where do you think your style fits more? East or West? New York or Los Angeles?

Well, Free People (one of my fave clothing brand/store) took inspiration from these 2 iconic and very stylish cities for their January catalog. With two big names in the modeling industry -Karlie Kloss and Jessica Hart- Free People compares these two styles.

I know I know... I'm a bit too late blogging about this since it's already February and all that (I saw the catalog early last month). But it's one of my fave catalog to look at so i knew I just had to share it. No matter how late it is. :)

To be honest, I'm more into the whole effortless, laid-back, not-so-put-together style of the Los Angeles scene. If you can even describe your style like that. Haha! Anyways, but I feel like because I'm still in this phase of experimenting with how I dress up, I'm able to mix both the LA and the NY style.

In this week's round up post, I want to share with you guys the kind of designer I aspire to be.

Let's start with menswear. I already mentioned a few times about how much I want to do menswear. Though I know how much effort is required to do this, my mind is already set to pursue it in the not-so-distant future. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Take a look at this video by The Satorialist. Don't you just love seeing men in perfectly tailored suits and with dapper styles? Well, I certainly do.

But of course, there will always be my love for women's wear. My kind of design -soft, delicate, elegant, flowy, etc.

The 2012 Hollywood Issue of Vanity Fair is a good example of what I love to design. The women looks so sexy without looking all promiscuous, simple and yet elegant, and the colors are just to divine. Need I say more?

Check the whole article here and the behind the scene video here.

Well -I guess- to summarize my style as a designer, I like the extremes. From the very tailored and structured style of menswear to the very soft and flowy silhouettes of women's wear. Very bipolar, I know. Very me. Chos!

January 30, 03:09 AM

Since my parents don't think that I'm quite ready for a car of my own (though I'm practically old enough to have one), I've been considering buying a bicycle.

For one, it doesn't cost that much -just the regular tuning up and stuff. And it's very practical, eco-friendly and   a good way for exercise too.

I even found a practical -and yet still stylish- way to keep it in a small space. Just what I need!

Club Monaco Spring 2012

Who won't love this very dreamy and romantic campaign shot by Serge Lablon? From the ethereal beauty (Sasha Pivovarova), sun-kissed landscape of the California coast, to those soft silhouettes, flowy skirts, delicate tops and pale splashes of colors -Club Monaco's Spring 2012 campaign is just what I'm looking for this summer (since we don't really have spring in the Philippines).

Pa-girl lang peg! :)

There's just something about how these photos turned out that even though the editing is a bit rough, it still worked for me. I'm trying on learning how to use flash when taking pictures so...

It is quite a practice to distort reality if one can no longer find the purpose of beauty in its most banal form.

Say: a perfectly contoured face driven by platitude can break itself into disheveled pieces yet remain crafted. Or a failure of flight can bring a pair of feet to leave its owner and rightfully place itself in between a cushion of clouds.

In this Untitled exhibition, you may find yourself stepping back, tilting your head or even closing an eye to fall in love with what is in front of you. Indulge. Let this alteration of what is real bring you a new sense of order and perhaps, a rekindling with what you used to deem as beautiful.

Here are some photos of what went down last Friday the 13th during Brad's photo exhibit opening at Cubao X.

January 16, 05:51 AM

Some of my friends have been asking me why I don't post "outfit shots" in my blog or why I don't have a lookbook account. Well, I can think of plenty of answers for them but to be honest, it just boils down to one thing -my laziness.

Yeah yeah I know -I suck. I could barely update my blog let alone take photographs of my look so bite me! Haha!

But since I promise to be more active this year, I realize that taking some outfit shots -take note of the word some- doesn't sound so bad at all. So here I am, with my first and hopefully not the last outfit post for 2012.

~o~

Vintage was definitely what I was going for last Sunday.

Inspired by Twin Sister's song Lady Daydream, I wore a red knitted sweater and a knee length polka-dotted box pleated skirt cinched in the waist by a blue belt.

And though you can't actually see it, my shoes are the color inspiration behind this look: red, blue and black.

Now, I leave you with this sweet melancholic song to enjoy.

Hey everyone!

Let me start of by saying: HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Yes yes, I know. I'm a couple of days late. Things have started out differently that writing my New Year post got delayed. But here I am now.

2011 was a year of great learning for me. I can say in all honesty that it was a year of disappointment for me. Well, disappointed to myself that is. I know I could've made a much more impact last year but never really maximized my potential as a person. It was a year that I lost to laziness and pessimism.

But it was also a year full of unexpectedness. One was unofficially-officially heading the Model Relation Department for Philippine Fashion Week. That was one cray experience right there! Need I say more? Haha!

Looking at last year, I realized how I could have totally made it my best year so far but didn't. Thank God for the new year, right?

So moving on to 2012, I was able to form a plan on how to make this year the best I have so far. It's very simple really. And you might think it's a little funny too. All I have to do is be AWESOME.

In everything I do, I will try and be awesome at it -or just simply do the best I can do. I already have proven that I can do all things if I set my mind to it. So the next and best thing to do is to do your bestest to it.

Oh Barney will be so proud of me -using his motto, I mean.

2012 may be the year where the world will end or not, but I promise to make this year mine.

Oh yes, it's mine.

xo

PS.
I will update my blog more from now on. :)

I was going through blog after blog a while ago when I happen to chance upon this photo of Vanessa Hudgens. I couldn't help but smile when I remembered I had worn something similar before.

I couldn't remember if I had taken an outfit post of that during Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011 (cause that's where I wore it). But thankfully, Status Magazine thought it was worthy enough to get featured in their Go-See section for their August 2011 issue.

As you can see, mine was the minimalist version of Vanessa's.

Thank you to Status Magazine and to my friend, Jason, for taking pictures of the magazine. LOL
