- Mar 01, 12Since hitting the live music scene Roland Michael Barrett has been waking up audiences with a unique impassioned vocal quality that is a welcoming relief to patrons. He covers songs in a way that will surely take you on a nostalgic journey no matter what your age. A versatile artist playing at fine resorts, casinos or pubs, weddings and vigils, or coffee shops and community events where he has played for crowds of 35000 (on Canada Day)Rolands larger past performances have been super sized through A-list musicians who share the same desire to have a dynamic effect on the audience covering artists such as Bruce Springsteen, The Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Steve Earle, Van Morrison, Cat Stevens, as well as tradiional bands such as The Dubliners, Waterboys, Irish Rovers, The Pogues...and many many more. To date, Rolands journey playing live music has been pretty much an effortless ride. - Roland - "I absolutely love playing every single event and find myself constantly fed by the smiles of Pleased happy listeners"Roland has garnered much praise for his original music and on request had started working on his CD but was plagued by vocal issues. He is set to continue work on the album in March and hopes to see it completed by 2013. Rolands easy going nature make him a pleasure to work with and he has always been invited back, doing as many as 70 shows at the same venue in one year alone. Most recently he has been playing at the Great canadian Casino, The Weight West Rsort, The Penny Farthing pub, The Black Rock Resort

As requested by many patrons, he started working on a CD of his original music in November 2011 but was plagued by vocal issues. - I Just finished writing a letter to the premier asking her to take back our right to conduct our own review process in regards to Northern Gateway. She'll listen to me right? lol
- When it comes to environmental, economic and political issues it can be difficult to know who to believe when you are not necessarily well educated on the topics. The irony is that most people involved are not that educated on the facts either. If you want answers trust yourself, talk to local experts, and look with your own unbiased eyes. The world we live in today is definfately not a place of clarity and so I put my trust in the locals and traditional peoples who have lived here for decade’s even centuries. These are the people who should be sought out when it comes to the development of our resources.
- What a beautiful day here on our Island, now imagine Oil tanker traffic north of us threatening our shores with inevitable and irreversible damage. Pls take some time to investigate the facts about the northern gateway and the effects it will have on our environment and share your thoughts, be a voice for BC and Canada.
- Nice to see some friends standing up for our province and speaking out against the Northern Gateway which proposes to build a pipeline through the Great Bear Rainforest and ship it within the inside passage!
