What’s Blooming on Harrison
Saturday, May 18 – 10am-8pm
This annual event highlights the Oak Park Arts District through artist demonstrations, live performances and a juried art fair featuring local artists and crafts people. The fun begins the evening of Friday, May 17 with special events planned within the galleries, shops and restaurants of Harrison Street. On Saturday, May 18 the festivities branch out into the street with stages for dance and music, a Family Fun activity center, food vendors, artist booths, carnival rides and more.

This unique work of art by Sophie Cave is displayed at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow, Scotland. The piece shows over 50 floating heads, each with different emotion across the face. This appealing display stands out so much in the traditional setting of the rest of the building. The heads are not particularly detailed – they are completely white – but the expressions they bear, which would otherwise be hidden, are highlighted with a faint blue light. The heads have a slightly eerie life-like quality. The expressions they display are some that we see on a daily basis in our society, ranging from laughter to sadness

Upon completion the student must have awareness of the basic problems of pursuing a business opportunity and be able to demonstrate the planning process of a business start-up.

I was hired to completely develop a new look and feel for the FrequencyTelevision.com website. I designed a site with a vintage feel using the color scheme created by a Columbia marketing class. I maintained the content on station website, formatted podcasts available for download in the iTunes directory, supervised a junior web designer, and produced over 25 original television programs for broadcast and online. As a producer, I oversaw the volunteers during production, edits, and graphics process.
