A young cloud was born in the midst of a great storm over the Medieterranean Sea, but he did not even have time to grew up there, for a strong wind pushed all the clouds over towards Africa.

As soon as the clouds reached the continent, the climate changed. A bright sun was shinning in the sky and, stretched out beneath them, lay the golden sands of the Sahara. Since it almost never rains in the desert, the wind continued pushing the clouds towards the forests in the south.

Meanwhile, as happens with young humans too, the young cloud decided to leave his parents and his older friends in order to discover the world.

'What are you doing?' cried the wind. 'The desert's the same all over. Rejoin the other clouds, and we'll go to Central Africa where are amazing mountains and tress!'

But the young cloud, a natural rebel, refused to obey, and, gradually, he dropped down untill he found a gentle, generous breeze that allowed him to hover over the golden sands. After much toing and froing, he noticed that one of the dunes was smiling at him.

He saw that the dune was also young, newly formed by the wind that had just passed over. He fell in love with her golden hair right there and then.

'Good Morning.' he said. 'What's life like down there?'

'I have the companyof the other dunes, of the sun and the wind, and of the caravans that occasionally pass through here. Somestimes it's rellay hot, but it's still bearable. What's life like up there?'

We have the sun and the wind too, but the good thing is that i can travel across the sky and see more things.

For me, ' said the dune, 'life is short. When the wind returns from the forests, I will disappear.'

'And does that make you sad?'

'It Makes me feel that i have no purpose in life.'

I feel the same. As soon as another wind comes along. I'll go south and be transformed into rain; but that is my destiny.

The dune hesitated for a moment, then said:

Did you know that here in the desert, we call the rain paradise?

I had no idea i could ever be that important, said  the cloud proudly.

I've heard other older dunes tell stories about the rain. They say that, after the rain, we are all covered with grass and flowers. But I'll never experience that, because in the desert it rains so rarely.

It was the cloud's turn to hesitate now. Then he smiled and said:

if you like, I could rain on you now. I know I've only just got here, but i love you, and I'd like to stay here for ever.

When i first saw you up in the sky, i fell in love with you too, said the dune. but if you transform your lovely white hair into rain, you will die.

Love never dies, said the dune. It is transformed, and, besides, I want to show you what paradise is like.

And he began to caress the dune with little drops of rain, so that they could stay together for longer, untill a rainbow appeared.

The following day, the little dune was covered in flowers. Other clouds that passed over, heading for Africa, thought that it must be part of the forest they wrer looking for and scattered more rain. Twenty years later, the dune had been transformed into an oasis that refreshed travellers with the shade of tis trees.

And all because, one day, a cloud fell in love, and was not afraid to give his life for that love.

We have all felt love. We have loved and been loved by blood relations and friends. But romantic love is something else. It's an strong feeling, which is beyond any of other ways of loving.

Why Do We Fall in Love?

Its a mystery how we fall in love. Its a mystery why we fall in love with a particular person. Its a mystery why some love prosper and some not.

You can try to figure out this perplexity and look for causes, but one can never do much more than take the life out of the wisdom. Just as life is more than bag of bones, love is more than the sum of gravitation and commonalty between two peoples. And the falling in love is a eternal gift that cannot be questioned in its way.

People fall in love, because

  •  They want to give something good that they possess.
  • That experience makes them feel totally alive.
  • They want to spent time with a person not because they dont want to be alone but to be with them
  • They believe that they found the right one( the “you complete me” type).
  • Its the closest thing humans have to magic.
  • Their brain gone numb and vulnerable

If you fall in love with someone, and they falls in love with you, and then love chooses to part its way, do not try to redeem it. Let it go. Remember, you don't choose love. It settle up on you. All you can do is acknowledge its mystery when it comes to the life.

What love does is that, it build an 'us” without consume a “me”. Love grows by giving. It can retain only by give it away. Love has been and will always be a mystery. Be glad that it came for a moment of your life.

We understand that love is much more than romance in the movies. We know that love is the most important thing in our lives. For love is the architect of our best memories and the root of our enamored dreams. Love is a affiance always kept, a treasure that can never be spent, a seed that can rise up even in the most hardest of places. And this shine that never fades, this mysterious joy, is the incomparable fortune of all -- one known only by those who love.

" I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.

I love you straightforwardly, without complexities

or pride; so I love you because I knew no other

way than this, where 'I' does not exist, nor 'you'.

So close that your hand on my chest is my hand, so

close that your eyes close as I fall asleep"....Pablo Neruda.

You do one thing. First you grow up. Because, if you grow up means, automatically your son will grow up. And when your son is growing up, give him a pack of condoms. Now don’t give that confused look and all. Seriously, give him a pack of condoms. Along with that, give him a lot of free advice. Don’t think that he won’t take it. Give it anyway, he will eventually take it.

Tell your son to go out with the girls. Tell him to give them hugs and high-fives and ask them to go out on day trips and have fun. Tell him that it is not important to get married before having sex and that if he feels like it, ask him to use that condom you just gave him. Tell him that the Health and Glow shop anyway has lots of varieties of them near the cash counter itself and that he need not be embarrassed to go buy them if he has to. No one will notice.

Tell him that he can talk about sex in your presence. And that you will not feel embarrassed about it.

Tell your son that it is ok to watch pornography. Don’t ask him to watch it when you are around and all, that will be indecent, but still tell him that there is nothing wrong in watching two adults in action.

Tell your son to read erotic fiction and have some fun. In fact, if possible, you only give a copy of the Kamasutra to him. He won’t understand any of it anyway, but still give it to him. Or try Harold Robbins.

Ask him to log on to Chatrooms and have sex chat with a random girl on the other end. It could be a guy pretending to be a girl, but still that and all doesn’t matter. Ask him to have it nevertheless.

Ask him to do sexting with this girlfriend, but tell him to do it discreetly. Tell him it is ok to have phone sex with her and that even if you overhear something from his room, tell him that you will pretend you have not heard anything. Promise him you won’t embarrass him.

Tell him to fall in love with a woman (or a man). Tell him to go head-over-heels (or something like that) about her. Tell him to admire her beauty. Actually, tell him to admire the beauty of all women. Tell him that they are single most source of joy on the planet and that without them the world is nothing. Tell him to make love to a woman in a manner that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Tell him to relax and enjoy sex.

But before you do ANY of the above,

Tell him what they show on National Geographic Channel. Tell him that male animals don’t have sex without the permission of the female animal. Tell him that it is a shame to touch a woman without her permission. Tell him that it is a failure on your part and on the way you have brought him up. Tell him that it is a failure to his manhood.

Tell him that real life pornography requires her permission. Tell him that if a woman agrees, no amount of erotica can match a woman’s passion. But ask him to wait for the woman to agree first.

Tell him that a woman is a human being. Just like him. Not a piece of object. Tell him that while it is ok to admire her beauty, grabbing her body parts without her permission is worse than stealing food from rabies-ridden street dog. Tell him that just because he possesses a penis, it does not give him the right to mate with every vagina in the vicinity automatically.

Tell him that even broken hearts can be mended but he cannot break a woman’s dignity at any cost.

Tell him that raping is a Sin for which Man will have to pay a heavy price. A very heavy price.

breakfastcookie:

This is something that happened to a friend of mine in her own words.

So, on Friday night my friend and I were at her house and wanted to get out and do something for the evening. We brainstormed ideas and she brought up the idea of seeing a show at the Laugh Factory. I’d never been, I thought it sounded fun, so we went. We saw that Dane Cook, along some other names we didn’t recognize we’re playing, and while we both agree that Cook’s style is not really our taste we were opened-minded about what the others had to offer. And we figured even good ol’ Dane can be funny sometimes, even if it’s not really our thing. Anyhoo, his act was actually fine, but then when his was done, some other guy I didn’t recognize took the stage. Of course, I would find out later this was Daniel Tosh, but at the time I thought he was just some yahoo who somehow got a gig going on after Cook. I honestly thought he was an amateur because he didn’t seem that comfortable on stage and seemed to have a really awkward presence.

So Tosh then starts making some very generalizing, declarative statements about rape jokes always being funny, how can a rape joke not be funny, rape is hilarious, etc. I don’t know why he was so repetitive about it but I felt provoked because I, for one, DON’T find them funny and never have. So I didnt appreciate Daniel Tosh (or anyone!) telling me I should find them funny. So I yelled out, “Actually, rape jokes are never funny!”

I did it because, even though being “disruptive” is against my nature, I felt that sitting there and saying nothing, or leaving quietly, would have been against my values as a person and as a woman. I don’t sit there while someone tells me how I should feel about something as profound and damaging as rape.

After I called out to him, Tosh paused for a moment. Then, he says, “Wouldn’t it be funny if that girl got raped by like, 5 guys right now? Like right now? What if a bunch of guys just raped her…” and I, completely stunned and finding it hard to process what was happening but knowing i needed to get out of there, immediately nudged my friend, who was also completely stunned, and we high-tailed it out of there. It was humiliating, of course, especially as the audience guffawed in response to Tosh, their eyes following us as we made our way out of there. I didn’t hear the rest of what he said about me.

Now in the lobby, I spoke with the girl at the will-call desk, and demanded to see the manager. The manager on duty quickly came out to speak with me, and she was profusely apologetic, and seemed genuinely sorry about what had happened, but of course we received no refund for our tickets, but instead a comped pair of tickets, although she admitted she understood if we never wanted to come back. I can imagine the Laugh Factory doesn’t really have a policy in place for what happens when a woman has to leave in a hurry because the person onstage is hurling violent words about sexual violence at her. Although maybe I’m not the first girl to have that happen to her.

I should probably add that having to basically flee while Tosh was enthusing about how hilarious it would be if I was gang-raped in that small, claustrophic room was pretty viscerally terrifying and threatening all the same, even if the actual scenario was unlikely to take place. The suggestion of it is violent enough and was meant to put me in my place.”

Please reblog and spread the word.

Great jobs, world class jobs, jobs people kill for… those jobs don’t get filled by people emailing in resumes. Ever.

I think if you’re remarkable, amazing or just plain spectacular, you probably shouldn’t have a resume at all.

Quest For Life

I’m confident that the answer for our quest to life in other planets lies in planet Earth. If we take from a single cell organism to more complex human beings, the DNA structure remains the same, which means we evolved from the single cell organism to a multi-celled human being. This proves life didn’t originate twice on Earth. Even the mutated creatures still hold the same DNA structure. It can be compared to a situation wherein you can write different programs using Java but the basic structure remains the same- the quest in this case is to find other languages.

As far as we know, the probability for the occurrence of life is very faint. So, if we can find out any organism which has a different DNA structure from us (we have discovered only 60% of our planet’s life), there will be more than a faint chance to find life in other planets too.

Age Old Idea

Life will form and evolve from the substance which is more predominant from others just like we formed out of carbon and oxygen. We don’t find these two in abundance in other planets. Surprisingly, our scientists are missing this simple logic and keep on searching for life based on oxygen and water. It’s like we are searching for something that we don’t know.

Life may depend on substances like liquid nitrogen in other planets and the living beings found there may be very faint and even undetectable to our machineries. We need a perseverant vision and unflinching co-operation from all the fields of science to find out the siblings of Earth.

In the course of writing this, I stumbled across on a new species of fish (forgive me…I forgot the name) which lives in the deepest part of Pacific Ocean and thrives only on Sulfur. I got excited that this might be the one I’m looking for; but, to my utter disappointment it turned out to be just another creature mutated so that it can live in its environment. Strikingly, it proves one thing- life can be possible without oxygen!

I hope there is life out there in other planets and pray that they are not smart enough to find us!

Marketers Guide to Social Commerce

Why you use social media?

For generating trust, cultivating brand advocacy and increase the customer engagement.

While all that sound good, but i had this recurring question people asking about how do social media translate into sale?” Necessarily not all the social media efforts have to translate into sales. Social commerce (Social who?) will never be the whole meal, it will always be the desert. Where building trust and fan engagement will still be the main platter.

Unless you still living under rocks, you might have already read slew of articles about what brands needs to kick start their social media campaign?. But what about social commerce?. You might not see people start using their Facebook accounts as a mean of transaction. But still planning doesn’t hurt.

 Find The Need

Tata salt does not need a commerce site. Apple Computer does. Social commerce is not the best option for you if your customers use you because of the ease of approach. However, if you have a product that needs to be seen or described, social commerce could be the way to go.

 Payment System

The next thing would be to clear out the payment system, though the traditional payment gateway might still work here, bringing in some new system where people can purchase product in a social way. With Facebook beta testing their payment gateway, and brands thinking about monetizing content sharing. The smart thing would be to scarp old bank payment gateway

 The Usual Social Media Chores

To begin with, allow fans to share or link your product or product page. Apart from that, create contents that are compelling enough for your audience to share with their networks. Allow user to review your products. Review for products helps build a better product and develop positive image.
