@scottsican and I getting green-screened into Mad Men today @looktv. #madmen #work #fools (at Bedrocket Media Ventures)
Sometimes I write rapz for people I love.
In this case, my boyfriend and I are no more, but this song and his love of Five Hour Energy drinks live on.
My friend Gary Atturio and I laid this down in his BK studio.
*BK referring to Brooklyn, not Burger King (studio in burger king=wishlist)
“My Scene”
I did a bunch of these animated webisodes for My Scene for Barbie.
I’m Nolee, the first one to speak. I’m also a Gemini who believes in karma and likes to skateboard.
Here’s a voice over I did for FURREAL FRIENDS! Yay!
This jingle will most certainly get stuck in your head.
“Join The Movement”
Rock The Vote PSA 2009
Okay, so you may not believe me when I say I didn’t realize I was being filmed behind Anne Hathaway but it’s true!! I knew I’d be in the video, just not at THAT moment. I had just met my best friend’s new girlfriend and that’s who I’m getting to know in this clip. We’re discussing how great it is to buy yourself some nice jewelry as opposed to waiting for some guy to buy it for you. And then of course, I am a stand up US citizen concerned about the war, but hey, I can be both of those people. Right?
Right?
“LP Don’t Flow”
Valentine Bureau and Austin Schumacher
So, this is a rap that I made up for my boss who was getting pushed out of the restuarant we were working in. I loved him so much and was so angry at the injustice of it all, that I thought I’d better get it out into song in time for his going away party that evening. It’s called “LP Don’t Flow” because his favorite drink was Laurent Perrier Rose Champagne. That shiz is fancy.
My friend Austin Schumacher laid the beatz and then we got to workz in his apartment studio. Anthony Stella also sings back up. It’s full of curses (I told you I was angry), so don’t play it in front of little onez. Or your momz.
“As The World Turns”
2001
Okay so the quality of this video may not be tip top. In fact I’m fairly certain it’s horrendous. And I may only be in the first two minutes. I’m sorry. But this clip is precious to my soul and I won’t part with it.
“Strangers With Candy”
Directed by Peter Lauer; 2000
Man oh man I got to work with Amy Sedaris AND Stephen Colbert in this one! I also got to have a mustache. And this was pre-chin mole removal. Let’s take a second to remember the mole and all of it’s third dimensional powers. Thank you.
“Cerveza Tropical”
Directed by Miguel Campana; 2008
This commercial was shot in San Juan, Puerto Rico and halfway through the shoot, they decided they wanted everything to be completely in Spanish. I thought my Castilian accent sparkled until I saw the video and realized I’d been DUBBED!!! Those crazy guys. Why’d ya get all New York actors to fly to Puerto Rico to speak Spanish and be dubbed in the end? I don’t care what the answer is. It was amazingly fun and I’m happy it was me :)
“Happy House” by The Juan McLean
Directed by The Wilderness Inc.; 2009
I got to dance in this video shot in Greenpoint, Brooklyn at what used to be Ron Jeremy’s old porn studio. Craaaazy!
“Downward Doggie Style”
Directed by James Monahan; 2008
Axe Body Spray competition. We won third place and some money! I embrace the stupidity of this video and I hope you do too. We had a lot of fun shooting it!
“The Queen Of Greenwich Village”
Directed by Kara Reynaud; 2008
This was a pilot I did starring Anne Meara and Carole Shelley. Alexia Rassmussen and myself played their younger, beatniky (is that even a word?) versions.
