Summary
I began my career at a popular print magazine and have come to enjoy using content in new ways with sharing tools, social reading, smart user generated content, good distribution and pure engagement. I believe truly good content can drive audiences to act and share.
During my career on the Internet I have:
- Led the 60% MoM external growth of a website.
- Created social campaigns and content that reached over 2 million fans across Twitter, Facebook, newsletters, and on-site.
- Doubled the size of social network and on-site followers to lead a digital community of just under 1 million fans.
- Created a Twitter 'Trending Topic' to celebrate the relaunch of a site.
- Organized redesigns and launches by incorporating new sharing and commenting tools and interactive video and hiring a team of on-site community managers to interact and enable enthusiasm across fans.
I've spoken to audiences at NYU, The New School, New York Social Media Week, Columbia Journalism Weekend and TBEX. I have been quoted in Gawker, Budget Travel and the Daily News.
As a travel and culture writer I've enjoyed success at Marie Claire, National Geographic's Intelligent Travel blog and LifetimeTV.com. I'm a regular contributor to Time Out New York and Flavorpill.
