So, i’ve had a revelation these past couple of days, and i really feel the need to draw attention to the results here.
Theres a perfectly valid reason why i dont usually enjoy the idea of a “collaboration” … allthough you can rest assure whatever collaborations i have done in the past were the…
Alright, time for a history lesson. A few years back when I was a regular on a little forum called Facebook, there was a user named; Tannzwut. Tannzwut was a bit of a loony to be honest, always a bit odd, but one day, out of nowhere, he posted an album he made, all by himself (!) So of course, members of the forum gave it a listen, it turned out that this masterpiece of music he felt so inclined to post was indeed a genre called; Noise.
Yes, the actual genre is called Noise. If you don’t know what it sounds like, it pretty much sounds like this.
Pretty fucking horrid right? This is the alright stuff, it gets pretty extreme, think EXTREME DISTORTION, EXTREME VOLUME, EXTREME EXTREME EXTREEEEEME. So as you can imagine, he caused a bit of a backlash. You know, being fucking shit and all. A group of us got together and decided, instead of calling him a faggot like the rest of them were, we were gunna do something slightly more funny. He challenged us to make noise music, saying it was harder than it looked.
So we all got together, being music producers, and began work on ‘Klatchikan Techdrum Warbeat’ A noise album. In the meantime, while the others were off doing work for their tracks, I threw together a quick EP (Read: in less than one hour) entitled ‘FUKUTANNZWUT’ and my Alias for this release? DJ EDJYASFUK.
People soon clicked on that it was a parody of Tannzwuts work, and it was met with a great response. So, having completed Tannzwuts challenge on my own, he sent my album to a few of his Noise loving friends, (ie. fucking weirdos, that weren’t just saying it was great for a laugh) and they actually enjoyed my album. So that shut him up, and left me with my e-penis thoroughly massaged. In the meantime, the 3 other members I was working with to create Klatchikan Techdrum Warbeat, TH89, sboyy and Xenocidebot were busy finishing off their tracks.
I really wish we still had the album so I could show you something that made a bit of internet history, but noone has the files anymore. Luckily, while I was raiding through my old Dropbox I found a few, which is kinda why I was inspired to write this incredibly random post at 5:32am.
(I suggest you turn your speakers down, just a tad)
The EP
DJ EDJYASFUK - fukutannzwut EP
Individual Tracks
Xenocidebot - Undead Rapist Medley
Yokohaman Groove Breakers - He Takes A Dump On The Rug Before He Goes
I have no idea what fucking led me to post this, or listen to my old Noise music, or even be up this late, but it’s been a weird one, and if you’ve made it this far, you’ve been great at keeping up with my muddled thoughts, well done, thanks.
Peace.
Knife Party just dropped their free 4 Track EP on soundcloud. GO COP DAT.
