You should, it’s really great! It’s crazy long (around 600 pages in very small type), but incredibly worth it. I’ve been in the middle of it since last summer, which is partially because of the length, and partially because I can only read it for so long before I get sad and have to put it down.

I’ve heard that Texans consider themselves v independent and like to threaten to succeed from the union still is this true in your experience

I think it’s less about wanting to actually secede from the Union (most Texans are aware that the people actually threatening to do that are nutjobs), and more about the fact that we could if we wanted to, which makes us special. Because we are special.
