My co-worker Chris Minzz hit me up for a few bizarre-o designs for a Justin Kalk music video he is doing. Loved this project because it meant I got to let my imagination run wild! It’s not every day you get to draw yam/crab/eel hybrids and organ grinder torture racks. Check out The Docs work here!
Although I don’t draw for ham sandwiches I sure will for modern furniture! My friend Arden-a carpenter, traded me a custom made coffee table for a poster advertising the improv night he hosts. Sweet deal! Well, almost anyways. Try lugging this thing back to Union Station by TTC all the way from the Danforth! F.Y.I. I’m too cheap to pay cab fare but what an adventure. I’ll extrapolate another day when I’m in more of a writing mood.
Believe it or not I found these in an antiques shop during a cottage trip to Fenland Falls with a bunch of animators.
The shop owner couldn’t tell me anything about them and time spent combing the internet has turned up no leads.
I think these are some great examples of fun, simple designs. Most are in good shape, except for the Sultan in purple; unfortunately his paint is chipping off.

All summer long caper flicks have been running at Yonge and Dundas Square. It’s a fun way to sketch-if you don’t count the teenagers smoking pot beside you, douchey-mcgees who won’t give up the extra chair cuz they like stretching their legs and occasional topless homeless guy wandering around. Nope, that my friend is flavor.
Speaking of which check me out at Flavors.
