Oh. My. God.
They actually did it!! The Leeds Rhinos, who have had by their own admission a pretty poor season won the Grand Final. After being beat in the Challenge cup final at Wembley the Rhinos have pulled their socks up and played some of the best rugby league I've seen in a long time.
They finished 5th after the weekly rounds and fought their way through the playoffs to the final after everybody had written them off. The game itself was a cracker. I'm not gonna reflect on it too much as you're either into rugby and saw it, in which case you know. If you're not into rugby and didn't see it then you tube it or watch the highlights on www.superleage.co.uk A-maze-ing!!!

Ok now I've got that out of the way, last week or maybe even the week before we went berry picking at Temple Newsam...
I went to the dentist :-( and need to go back in a couple of weeks for two fillings in my wisdom teeth. I hate the dentist and could cry every time I have to go so am not looking forward to it.
I've spent quite a bit of time playing the new F1 2011 on PS3 and have to say it's amazing, I've started out with Force India and am hoping to increase my reputation by meeting their objective so I can sign for a more competitive team. Doing a half distance race (33ish laps) working my way into 6th position only to spin off on the penultimate lap for pushing my tyres too hard is disappointing but also strangely satisfying. I finished around 11th.
Made some lamb meatballs, mmmmmWent to Knightcon 2011 and will post more pics from this as soon as I upload them.
Caught up and finished season 4 of True Blood. (stickers from Get Glue on iOS)
I also finished retouching the images from my shoot with Twice Nightly in the studio...We learnt our 3 times table.....

Hello it's been a little longer than usual so this is probably gonna be a long one. Lots to write.
These blogs are a great way for me to reflect on whats going on in my life as if somehow getting out out of my head and onto the (web)page is making it easier for me to process.
So I had my 2 weeks off work and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Lots of Tyler time.and no homework for him!!I've spent lots of time editing the band pics from the other week using this.
My tomatoes made good progress....Had a few caramel fraps mmm....
Little bit of this too....Random...The gf and I have decided to take the next step and sell our respective houses and move in together. This will not only mean we get to see more of each other but will help greatly with our finances.
But there are a few issues I'm having, and when I stress about things everything seems a million times worse than it really is.
So I've been doing a little DIY to get my house ready for sale, I spent the 1st week I was back at work sanding, filling my walls near my staircase in preparation for painting. In the process of sanding I put a hole in the plaster :-( So then had to fill and sand the hole which delayed things.The valuation is this Saturday coming so I'm nervous and been working my ass off sanding and painting walls trying to tart the place up a bit. It's mostly cleaning and tidying now but it's one of those things where you finish one thing and notice something else.
Small cracks in walls that kind of thing.
If we'd have made the decision a little sooner then I could have done it all whilst I was off work but not to worry this is pretty grown up and scary stuff here.
I've been in this house 10 years and it's the only stable home Tyler has had as his mum and step dad rent so have moved around 5 times in his 8 years.
Well I've been writing this on and off for a little while but am tired so never really got round to finishing it so it's going to be ongoing.
The valuation came and went, it was ok I am both relieved and disappointed. Relieved that I should be able to clear my mortgage and debts with the house sale, disappointed it is not worth a little more so I have a larger deposit for a place with the GF.
Also I've just had to drive over to my mums in a bit of a state. With all the cleaning I've been doing the past week it's kicked up a lot of dust so I've been suffering with my asthma.
I also had the heating on for the 1st time this year which aggravated it further and I ended up having an asthma attack, I couldn't breath and was panicking so had to borrow an inhaler as mine had run out. I'm ok now but find it strange how I can run 10k without needing an inhaler but a little bit of dust and I'm on my ass. That was the 1st time for a very long time that I've felt like that.
My football (soccer) team is playing a cup game tonight against Manchester United, it's a big derby but they are in a league above us and a million miles ahead in terms of talent but I changed my shift so I can pick Tyler up and watch it together at my house.
Oh dear it was terrible they beat us 3 - 0 and we never really got going.
The Big BIG dilemma for Friday though, both my teams football and rugby are on the tv at the same time!!! So I have to make a tough decision, I may have to put the football on the pc and the rugby on the tv.
And I just found out I need a new tyre on the car FML right now!!!
I was in a great mood this morning, up early Tyler to school then hunting down some smart trousers for a black tie event this Saturday. I found some nice ones, in my size, tried them on and well they were a little tight, so I tried the next size up and they are like clown pants so I'm disappointed I think I may have to put up with the slightly too tight ones. (Makes my ass look good though.) I did some food shopping.
Then I went on to check the air in my car tyres and noticed one was low so thought that whilst I was being productive I'd get it checked out. First guy said it just needed putting back on the rim and balancing as the seal had gone but the main guy came over and had a look and was all noooo you need a new tyre as the sidewall is fucked. I told him to just put it back on as I can't afford a new tyre just yet. Hopefully it won't blow and I won't die.
Moving on through the week……… I'm a little happier today I got some nice trousers and new shoes for the function on Saturday night, and even better my mum paid for the trousers bless her. She also bought me a shirt but when I tried it on it was a little short (due to me being so damn tall) so that will have to go back.
But overall a bit more positive today.
I'm also back at the gym and doing a little running but it's been 4 weeks since I've been due to holidays and doing the DIY so it's been hard going.:-) :-) :-D

The Rugby game on Friday night was very exciting and we managed to get through to the semi-final of the playoffs so thats another game to look forward to. As for the football (soccer) my team was 2 - 0 up at half time and ended up losing the lead to 2 - 3 lucky we scored a 3rd in injury time at the end of the game to level things.
Yet again I was struck at how easily these 10stone millionaires fall over when tackled compared to 2 15st blokes running head on at each other and managing to bounce off each other and go for some more. Pussy football players!!
Right now I'm hoping to finally get the pictures uploaded to go along with this blog whilst watching Full Metal Alchemist with Tyler.
Then I may go for a walk before I need to get ready for the posh black-tie work do tonight.

My 2nd week off work went like this....
Posted a letter.
Shot in a studio for the 1st time.
Watched lots of films and TVSpent some time editing the pics from the studio shoot.
Had cuddles...
It was also my nephew, Reubens 2nd birthday awwwwwws I did take more pics but I havent uploaded them yet.
I took Tyler to the last home game of the season for the Leeds Rhinos, we won 64 - 14 and then they players hung around after the game and Tyler got his shirt signed and hair messed by all the players. It was a great night and I'll miss it once the season is over. Hopefully we can get to the Grand Final which is the sports Superbowl equivalent.
And now back to work now after 2 weeks of relaxation. Boo.

So this is just a little update with some pics I forgot to post on my previous blab.
I wanted to go to the local skate park after being inspired by these pics a mate took. CLICKYBut I can't get motivated at all today which is worrying considering I was in a funk yesterday and didn't get dressed or do anything all day.
I'm getting a little nervous for Wednesday in which I'll be doing my 1st photo studio shoot with these guys...Twice Nightly @ Henry Boons, a set on Flickr.
It should be fun and once I've done it I'll feel much more confident and will pen up another income stream for my photography so I can start saving up for some lenses.

Oh and just before I go I'm gonna rant my ass off about something, I've just been to the post box you know to post a letter no big deal. Only when coming back did I notice the number of red rubber bands littering the place. These red rubber bands are what the post men/women (mail man/women) keep all the mail together with when they are making there deliveries.
So why do they feel the need to take them off and throw them on the floor? I've just picked up about 20 in my small street with 5 houses on it. I'm going to collect them all up and post them back in the post box or maybe I'll wait until I've got a bag full then take them to the post office and dump them all over there floor. No need. Post People. No need.

Hello there.
So thats 1 week off work gone and over in the blink of an eye, what have I done? not much, not much at all.
I had another 3 hours on my sleeve, which i starting to come together nicely now.
I went for a nice walk...

After a recommendation from a friend I've started watching this with Tyler, we're 20 episodes in and enjoying it so far.
I discovered a cure to my Cityville addiction.......Zombie Lane...
Found these little guys at my local supermarket.
Went out for some mexican food, we shared Calamari and some Jalepeńo Chilli cheese poppers was delicious. I followed the up with a combination of duck and beef fajitas.
Followed by a strawberry & cream frap mmmmm
Saturday was the Challenge Cup Final and was on TV, Tyler and I decorated my living room with our old shirts.
The less said about the game the better, we played well but unfortunately and yes I know I'm biased but god's honest truth they officials ruined the game for us by giving 2 wrong deisions which were clear from the replays should not have gone the way they did. These resulted in 2 tries for the opposition which ruined our chances. :(
Today I've been playing this, I've not played it before and know it's uite old now but I'm working my way through and it's pretty good, it is a little repetitive though so I'm only playing it for an hour or so at a time before I get bored.
Well that it for now as I've been dragged kicking and screaming into a Fantasy Football (NFL) league and the live draft (whatever the hell that is) starts soon and I have to pick my players.

This is where is spend my time online.Last weekend was full of things to do but the weather was shitty so I didn't get out too much.Tylers home and we went to see my GFs family which was cool.Just before we set off this shit happened to my car!!! Luckily it was just a clamp and my dad managed to repair it pretty quickly.
It was also the 1st football (soccer) game of the season and my team was on tv on the Saturday they sucked and got beat 3-1. Sunday again was a little awkward as it's the Rhinos (rugby) semi final against local rivals and yet again is on tv, me and Tyler both love the rugby so didn't want to miss it. Also we didn't want to come across as rude to the GF's family but it was all cool and we got to watch it. It went to extra time and dinner was ready so we ended up having to record the extra time and we both rushed like hell to finish and get back to the game. We won and are now through to the final. YEAH!!!
No doubt my next blog with have lots of pics of kids and dogs as there was be 7adults 4 kids and 3 dogs in the same house. Fun times. My GF played some awesome piano and I'd forgotten how good she i at that just wish she had a piano down here to practice on.
I suppose I should pass comment on the rioting that has been going on in my capital city. I'm not sure what to say. These people and I use the term people very loosely are scum. Simple. There is no excuse for what they have done.
Films I watched this week. Scream - as awesome as ever. Such a clever film. Gattaca - really enjoyed this but left me with a quite a few unanswered questions. Captain America - brilliant. Go see it. Can't wait for The Avengers!!! Alien Trespass - Shit. Just shit. Feast - Not a bad comedy/horror with good creature effects.
Cap was followed by fish, chips & curry sauce which was yummy.

Fri-Sun I was completely alone and loved it I tended to my tomatoes and my pumpkins in my garden and did a little weeding.
Watched F1 got very excited and shouted at the tv alot.
Oh yeah and I got me a hair cut, now the girl who normally does it it is lush but she wasn't in so I got stuck with some random dude I'd not seen before :( Who cut it a little short for my liking.

This week started off shitty at work some cock rung 5 minutes before I was due to finish my shift and kicked off for half an hour. Thanked me for my help hung up. He then called back and complained about my attitude. I don't give a shit about that I've been doing the job ten years so know what I'm doing. Problem being the bank had to investigate all complaints which was a waste of time. So I made a little badge and wore it all day in protest.
I got a new t-shirt to cheer me up, hope you get the reference.
Also the signed shirt from when I did my run arrived and I can't wait to frame it and get it on the wall in Tylers room!!
This Wednesday I went and waked around 11k round a reservoir, it's was lovely and the pics don't really do it justice. Also I lost my circular polariser filter somewhere along the way which is a pain. I hope to get some of the pics up soon. But here a couple of instagram ones.

Today was my day off and for a change it's been quite a busy day for me.
Got up had breakfast and went to the gym. Day 3 of P90X and I'm aching everywhere, today was Shoulders & Arms followed by Abs. Ouchy.
Came home and collected my recycling bin which then decided to attack me...

I picked Tyler up from school and surprised him with a trip to see Harry Potter...
I read all the books as they came out and very much enjoyed them but couldn't really get into the films. The casting was always excellent but they were just lacking something for me. So I stopped watching them after the 4th one. Well Tyler has recently caught on to the HP buzz and has been reading the books himself.
We started from scratch and watched all the films through one a week for the past few weeks. This time I was much more invested in them and enjoyed them much more more.
This final instalment was a very satisfying end to the series and I enjoyed nearly every second of it. My biggest gripe is the same one that I had with the books. Why the need for the 19 years later epilogue. Leave it to me and my imagination to decide where the story goes from here. Always seemed like a cheap cop out out of an ending to me.
After that it was a trip to Frankie & Bennys for some much needed grub!

s. - Sep 09, 11Tonight was my presentation evening for the 10k run that I did in June. There was about 100 of us that did as part of the Rhinos team and maybe 30 who raised enough for the top tier of benefits.Nice meal, good company, free tickets to the match. They made me feel really special.
Then at half time I got to walk around the pitch in pitch in front of 14,000 cheering fans.Tylers mum had also taken him to the game so as I walked past him I got cheers and high 5's from my boy. I was so proud of myself. :D:D:D:DTop top it all off the Rhinos put in a good performance to win 20 points to nil.I rushed home to see if I was on TV but stupid Sky TV and their punditry didn't even mention our achievements never mind show it :( Fuckers.Can't wait for next year but am considering signing up for another 10k in November to make sure I keep training hard and try to beat my time.s. - Aug 24, 11Evening.........

Burnt some rubbish, I burn most things, keeps me calm watching the flames dance.
I shaved the boys head. We like.
I did manage to fit in an all you can eat Chinese buffet, well sort of. I made it through 2 plates of starters and 2 plates of duck pancakes before admitting defeat and not getting to the mains.Then I went to a charity gig on Saturday night with 4 local bands, all the bands were decent enough. I'd been asked to take pictures so I came back with 434. So most nights this week has seen me looking somewhat like this...
I'll post some of the gig pics once I've gone through them. I wish my slr had better high ISO capabilities though, just makes me lust after a 7D even more.

I've not been able to enjoy it too much for fear of burning my fresh tatt.
So I had to wait till it had cooled a bit before venturing outside, this actually suited me fine as I got to watch the Formula 1 so it's not like I was a prisoner or anything.
So yeah I had a little mooch around where I live (and have lived for the last ten years!) I found some fields about five minutes walk from me.
It never fails to amaze me how much awesomeness is on my doorstep, 5min one way lovely fields and greenery, 5 min the other way and in Leeds City center with all it's new shiny glass structures in with the old classic Victorian buildings.

Well here's the thing.
This may be a little record for me 2 blogs in 2 days, whats going on.
I've had some QT with Tyler this evening well me and 18,000 other Rugby fans!!! I surprised him and took him to the rugby, we had a great time. It rained on us and we got wet, our team lost and we didn't care. He's at the age now where he understands the game and can shout things at the players!!
It was funny as at one point I'd missed what happened so he explained it to me, yeah at 8 years old.
I carried him on my shoulders out through the crowds but man he's getting heavy. When we got home we had a little run to the 7-11, came home made lumpy hot chocolate and marshmellows.
I live for moments like these, I could feel the love and affection between us both and the big genuine smile, I never want it to end, but at 11.30pm I had to be responsible dad and try and get him to bed. He did this without fuss as always.
I'm going to bask in this warm feeling for a little while, so feel free to have a little look at a couple of pics while I do........

Today I didn't have to go to work, I got to volunteer at the Dogs Trust!!!

This is Bruno, he's only 10 weeks old and is a Lurcher/Huskey Cross, his eyes were amazing and I really wanted to bring him home.

I then spent some time indoors with a greyhound called Bambi I didn't get any pictures of her, but she was crazy. She would bound around after her ball for a couple of minutes and then be totally knackered and disinterested for the next twenty.
My last dog of the day was Bruno, a squat staffordshire bull terrier who was so loving I wanted to take him home with me too...Oh and I only worked/volunteered 5hours instead of the usual 9 WHOOP!!!!

How you been?
I'm bloody great!! I did it!!
I was part of a team for the Leeds 10k run with proceeds split between the Jane Tomlinson Cancer Appeal and the Leeds Rugby Foundation (for getting kids off the streets and into sports. I've managed to raise around £300 and am really proud of myself.
Last Wednesday I attended a pre-run pasta party at the ground which was pretty good, there was a couple of the players and some guest speakers. It was a fun evening.I took it easy for a few days with some nice 5k walks rather than running and took in some sights at a park with Tyler, which seemed to tire him out.
So Sunday arrived I slept in till 7.30 as my alarm didn't go off which meant I was chasing my arse to get to the run for 8.15. The weather was horrid as it was lashing down with rain so by the time I'd got from my car to the meeting place I was soaked through to the skin. Luckily the rain stopped just as the run started.
I finished my 10k in 1hour 5 minutes which is better than the target time I'd set myself. The support was amazing from the other members of my 'team' high fiving cheering each other on as we passed the turning point. Also the public were brilliant banging drums, cheering, clapping, and encouraging everyone along the route. I had to walk for the first 5minutes until the crowd thinned out enough for me to run and I also walked for around 3 minutes at the 7k marker as my knee was really sore.
I'm so pleased with myself today it's unreal, now I know I can do it I will keep on training as there is another 10k in November and I would like to not only beat my time but also run the full 10k with no walking at all. Next year? half marathon? I'd fucking love to!!!

When I got home I found this waiting for me.......Only 4 days 10 hours and 20minutes till I run/walk/crawl my first 10k. I was hoping to complete it in around an hour but I've been struggling with my knees the last couple of weeks so am thinking it may take a while longer.

I get to attend a pre-run pasta party tomorrow evening and will receive advice on final preperation from the teams coaches and will meet some of the players that are taking part. I think most on SG won't know or give a flying fuck about the sport of Rugby League but these guys are my heroes and to get to do this is gonna be awesome. Due to the amount I've raised I'll also get to attend a meal after the event and attend a game free of charge and have my certificate presented on the pitch in front of 20'000 of so people!!!!

In my excitement at receiving the shirt I left the kitchen tap on with the plug in for oooh a good hour and a half, lucky for me the overflow is working perfectly. Phewwww!!

Hey my lovlies.
So Tyler got the casts off his feet on Wednesday and so far so good no more walking like a ballet dancer, I'm really proud of how he's dealt with it all.
Today we went to a local country park Wikipedia Link for a walk and had a lovely time. We did just short of 6k and he didn't complain once.
He's gone home now though and I'm lonely.

What an eventful day!! it's only lunch time.
1st up I had a little accident with my 2010 Macbook Pro, I'm devestated as she's my 1st mac and I paid a fortune to have her top spec (i7, 8gb ram, SSD) well she slipped of my drawers and unfortunately didn't land on the carpet. She landed on my dumbells. I suppose she got of lightly as she still works.
The back of the casing had also popped out, so took the back off and used a hammer and small screwdriver to bend it back into place. :'-(
I was originally as giddy as a school girl this morning as I made a decision recently to be an adult and buy a new mattress for my bed rather than a new lens for my camera. It hurt. Well the mattress was delivered today and like a trooper I cleared the way by moving the old one so the delivery men could take it upstairs and into my bedroom.
OH NOOOOOOO as so as I signed for it and turned my back he fucking did one and left me on my own.
So I got on with it, as I'm not a small bloke at 6'7" and 16.5 stone. Yeah I managed to get it stuck.
After much swearing and sweating I've managed to get it to the top of the stairs. It can stay there now as I want to go out and get all new bedding for it, maybe that's girly or gay or whatever but really I don't care. I want our first night together to be special. :love::)
I've also had some workmen round today to look at my cellar. Long long story cut short, I had a leak (not like that) in the cellar November 2009 and sewerage was leaking in after much complaining and stress the work was completed on the repairs in December 2010. I thought that was the end of it,
They've tanked it out and installed a pump so I can with a little extra work make it into a proper room in the future if I decide to. Well that was if the pump was working. I went down there to store some stuff the other day and theres a puddle in the corner. Useless tssers.
So they've been back today to look at it and will be coming back again next week to sort it out.
On that note if you're still awake I'm going to buy pretty bed sheets.

I've just finished playing through latest Ratchet & Clank (A Crack In Time) game on the PS3. 8.5/10

In 2008 I ran 3 mile for Sport Relief, in 2009 I ran 5 miles for the Greggs Childrens Cancer run which was really difficult as I'd not trained much.
So this year I'm reverting back to 3 miles and have only got 9 weeks 2 days to train for this one.

I took these pictures back end of November and have only just got around to editing them. I think they fir really well in to this storyboard/comic style and it's motivated me to try and take the story further.
It's complete nonsense but good fun so why not?
