"the world as we know it is made up of vibrations and frequencies which
we all consist of and music is one of the purest forms of organized
vibration; playing and knowing the right frequencies may allow form to
restructure itself towards spiritual awareness and oneness. i myself
feel a deep connection with sound and frequency as i am drawn to the
knowledge, science and metaphysical properties of it; and as similar
entities that author our own reality, the reality i want to create is
that of peace, harmony and light. a world of similar objects within
similar objects, where I believe we can all resonate on the same frequencies."

"the best soundscapes are usually ones that have resulted from an artist’s exploration and immersion into a specific region of existence. What occurs is something that makes us feel familiar but is completely new at the same time, much like the foggy uncertainty of experiencing deja vu. Finding Astral Lovers, the newest tape by Similar Objects (Jorge Wieneke) curated by the Phillipines-based Number Line Records, is a fresh example of sound that sits in this territory." - http://headnodz.com/2012/01/similar-objects-finding-astral-lovers-mxt/
"A new year means new music from prolific Manila based artist and master beat maker Similar Objects. Jung is a present for Similar Objects' fans by way of being a Bandcamp exclusive for free download. Jung features old beats, new ideas and more of Similar Objects terrific instrumental electronic music. Ambient and chill, with flourishes of trip hop and IDM, Jung continues Similar Objects' run of eminently listenable and enjoyable albums." - http://floorshimezipperboots.blogspot.com/2012/01/similar-objects-jung.html
"Ambient beat maker Similar Objects hits it deep on his recent album, Finding Astral Lovers, which its record label Number Line Records says is “written as a kind of dream journal; the album’s eleven tracks chronicle what Wieneke refers to as astral adventures or what skeptics might call “lucid dreams.” It is like being swept up by a school of rainbow fish to journey through the underwater wonders of Atlantis." - http://www.thebriolife.com/blog/similar-objects-a-small-chord-spiders-web/
"FindingAstralLovers" released mid december last year still made it as one of the Philippines' top 30 releases of 2011 based on Gig.ph. - http://www.gig.ph/2011/30-releases-of-2011/

"Similar Objects is from the Philippines. He has become one of my favourite ambient experimental artists after his previous album release which I posted about here. This new release still carries his strong attention to percussion, with this strangely titled track being a good example of that. The melodic elements are polite visitors in a kick and snare dominated world." - http://lifeaquaticblog.com/post/14431189038/similar-objects-a-small-chord-like-a-spider

"Similar Objects, aka Manila artist/producer Jorge Juan Wieneke V, has released his new album Finding Astral Lovers. Like its FZB reviewed predecessor, The Limits of Thought, Finding Astral Lovers sees Wieneke blending elements of house, IDM, electronica and dubstep into a lush set electronic tonal poems. The album features eleven tracks of beat heavy astral landscapes and airy synth pads." - http://floorshimezipperboots.blogspot.com/2011/12/similar-objects-finding-astral-lovers.html
"ambgqty" ranked as one of the Philippines TOP 5 ALBUMS of 2011 in based on "Pulp" Magazine.
"Beat-haze producer Similar Objects describe the sound of their black aircon sober EP as "tali vibes/numbers and the abstract truth". Head over to their Bandcamp and listen for yourself to see if you can decode what the hell they're talking about-- and grab the whole thing for free too, while you're at it. Here's a standout from that EP to keep your vocal-melted mind satiated" - PitchForkMedia http://pitchfork.com/forkcast/14871-2-bonsai-kids/

There’s not the smallest orb which thou behold’st
But in his motion like an angel sings,
Still quiring to the young-eyed cherubins;
Such harmony is in immortal souls,
But whilst this muddy vesture of decay
Doth grossly close it in, we cannot hear it.
Homie, take it from me…
Some people will feed you the false positives.
Some will not support you no matter what you do, but will always ‘act’ happy for you, even if your move will effect them in a positive way.
Some give you false positives and bad advice in place of love & truth ‘cause it’s all they feel they’ve gotten from life.
People even say don’t play the blame game ‘cause they don’t want what’s coming to them, the truth.
Most people won’t even re-evaluate their expectation of others, even after seeing what really brings about positive changes in their relationships.
The truth is… ‘I did it all by myself’ is a mythical demi-gods story. We want it to be true because that’s how many people fall to this false ideology. The utterances of the foolish, to say ‘I’, alone did something…
We appoint positions. We green light careers. We say who eats & who doesn’t by giving our support to others. There are people who say who to support. There are people who’s sole objective is to simply support. Some are here to be strong enough in journey to ask for support, so that others also learn how to, no matter how vulnerable it makes them.
Stop leaving mystery seats open. Have a seat. It’s you.
You can create. You can support others doing things you deem valuable, do what you like, do what you do, or can’t do yourselves, or don’t do yourselves.
You can stop saying empty words. You can start having gratitude for those who saw something in you enough to invest their time. You can opt to be the support system you needed, strong people need support though it is not the culture to say it. You can be fans of your inner circle, & have respect for your outer without it discounting your contributions.
Certainly stop with this new age bullsh*t. If you can’t find God in your fellow man, you should take a look at what you value in people.

truth!
this dude says it well. lot of this going around lately.
Let it work;
For tis sport, to have the engineer
Hoist with his own petard; and it
shall go hard
But I will delve one yard below
their mines,
And blow them at the moon.
Halter Instinct’s Sandpaper
words by Petra Magno
This is not a beat; it is an ache: single resonances pulsing from a
deep blue background. Here come the celestial footfalls, lullaby-like.
Someone is heading for you, without words or threat. Two minutes in,
and the track seems to take a breath, and it resumes its approach with
purpose. Your eyes tick and back and forth with the sound;i t’s
possible to expand your field of view without ever turning your head.
The trip is softer than sandpaper, and someone is coming to smoothen
you out. You will wonder, at the end, where they must have gone.
