- Colin Perini professional artist for 30+ yearsArts and Crafts | Brisbane Area, Australia, AUSummary4 years of university and 12 years in the Australian Mining Industry as a Mechanical Engineer gave me an excellent background in the technical world. This has remained and is particularly strong in the field of website building and general search engine optimization. These skills arose as a result of many years of building websites for my art business.
I have been self employed as an artist since 1981. During this time my experience was not confined to the world of art but required a lot of skills in building and maintaining a business.
As a quick portrait artist we worked in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane as well as Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England for 3 summers, Santa Cruz Boardwalk in California and Cape Canaveral in Florida. I also spent a year at Sea World and 10 years at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast. During this career I drew over 75,000 portraits!
During the past 14 years, my wife and I built a very strong presence in the art world when I was a seascape artist. My work now hangs in over 26 countries and during this time I have sold over 3000 paintings.Specialties: Creativity, spontaneity, alternative ways of seeing problems and situations.
