Batman #5
I am always in favor of picking up a physical copy of the comic but THIS issue really makes the point clear. Snyder and Capullo make us turn our heads as they themselves turn Bruce’s world upside down and I sat in the train, frantically turning my issue to keep up with the eerily frightening art and storytelling.
And then this last page hits home for me. Damian wants to see his father again and the bat signal is the last sign of him, the last straw of hope. Nobody is going to take that from him. Even if he has to beg for it.
