Hey Tumblr, Sara suffered from severe hyperglycemia and is in a critical health condition. She is currently admitted to a hospital here in LA. She could use some heartfelt prayers at this time. TY.

Kerry Skarbakka: Falling Artist Suspended In Time
Kerry Skarbakka photographs himself falling from trees, jumping off bridges and in the midst of fires - all in the name of art. Inspired by the helplessness he felt after 9/11 attacks, Kerry’s work captures him frozen in a moment of peril.
This is AMAZING.
30 Amazing Tilt Shift Photographs
I don’t see them all as amazing, but the above is my favourite. Wherever that is.. I want to go there. It reminds me of the place where you might encounter Legolas and his kind. Just sayin..
My suggestion of The Reflex by Duran Duran was off.. (lol) I got a little excited when you mentioned the 80s when in fact you did say ‘ballads’. So I would say, Unchained Melody and You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling by the Righteous Brothers. ;) Also great stuff from Queen and REO Speedwagon.

This being my favourite.
I ended up in Las Vegas again for their Holiday Havoc at the Joint.
The Afghan Raiders were awesome last night. It was exactly what I expected. They played Solid Gold and my favourite, Morphine Dream.
Then came a band from Charlotte, NC called Paper Tongues - never heard of them but they were good live.
Cage the Elephant was good too, except after a while, their songs began to sound the same. I’ve only heard a couple of their tracks but their frontman was quite a showman.
Lastly, Muse. These guys sound so much better on stage than on record. They are a must-see if they ever come to your town or the town near you.
And now I must go back to sleep.

Dinh Van Joaillier - Love the simplicity of his designs. I own a couple of his pieces. I’d like one of these for xmas.
stuff I need to see before I become boring and old:
Blue holes.
These are giant and sudden drops in underwater elevation that get their name from the dark and foreboding blue tone they exhibit when viewed from above in relationship to surrounding waters. They can be hundreds of feet deep and while divers are able to explore some of them they are largely devoid of oxygen that would support sea life due to poor water circulation – leaving them eerily empty. Some blue holes, however, contain ancient fossil remains that have been discovered, preserved in their depths.Another place I want to go!!

This is just ridiculous. I bet one Chanel surfboard costs about 10x my favourite Al Merrick board. Shame.. stick to making timeless clothing Chanel! Coco wouldn’t be proud of this.
Awesome.

OH SHIT!
Wow. My aunt, Martina who is my Mum’s twin sister is brutal. No wonder my cousins are still single. She said, (translated in English) “Yes, she’s intelligent but ugly as hell” about my cousin’s new girlfriend.
Hey Sara, I remember seeing in some of your posts that you will be going to NYC soon. Well…I just thought I would pass on this list I made (a friend of mine will be visiting the city this weekend and he had me make it up for him) of good places to eat and drink. I lived in the city for five years so if you need any other info on places to go/eat/anything feel free to ask! :) Have a great trip, Heather
Heather, you are awesome. Yes please.. I’d love a good place to eat authentic Italian pizza. I’ll only be in the city for a couple of days. I’ll be in Long Island for most of my trip. I do prefer those small, “hole in the wall” restaurants so send them my way. Thanks!!

“I admire a man who can sit down and cross his legs like a woman.”
“One day, you will die.
You will stop and the world will carry on. Lovers will love. Others will shop, laugh and cry. Sometimes alone. Sometimes together. The radio will keep playing.
But you will be gone.
Only the love you gave, the souls you touched and the people you changed, will remain.
They will carry on for you. They will pick up where you left off.
There is nothing to be sad about here.

As a trip
Vacation, in English-speaking North America, describes recreational travel, such as a short pleasure trip, or a journey abroad. Most of the rest of the English-speaking whose of recent British or European descent, rarely say going on holiday. People in Commonwealth countries also use the phrase, going on leave.
Canadians often use vacation and holiday interchangeably referring to a trip away from home or time off work. In Australia, the term can refer to a vacation or a public holiday.
As an observance
In all of the English-speaking world, including North America, holiday may refer to a day set aside by a nation or culture (in some cases, multiple nations and cultures) for commemoration, celebration, or other observance. Schools, business, and workplaces often close for holidays.
I use holiday for long-term and short-term vacations. ;)
