He will receive the Strategic Leadership Award for HR Excellence by the World HRD Congress in Mumbai, India in February 2012. He is a member of Harvard Business Advisory Council. He sits on the Executive Online Panel at McKinsey Consulting. He is member of the Human Capital Institute’s expert advisory panel on Talent Management Strategy. He is certified by the Human Capital Institute as a Human Capital Strategist (HCS) and Strategic Workforce Planner (SWP). He is a Faculty Member facilitating both courses. In 2008 he was named HR Person of the year with inclusion to the HR Hall of Fame by the HR Network of NYC.
He is the principal consultant at Strategy Focused HR. He has consulted with many clients in publishing, media and entertainment sector. His work has been featured in INC. Magazine, Wall St. Journal, Crain’s New York Business, Canadian Business, Workforce Management and Chief Learning Officer Magazine.
He has held senior level roles in publishing and technology. He was the former VP Human Resources/OD at Martha Stewart Living, serving on the board of her personal foundation. Prior to that role he was a senior executive at IBM Global Learning Services.
He is a frequent webinar leader, panelist on relevant topics as leadership modeling, career development, onboarding and talent management. His primary focus is Human Resources from a strategic vantage point.
