Facebook has decided to rollout the new "timeline" feature, meaning people will have, yet another, reason to complain about using Facebook. I've already had the feature for some time now, so this update doesn't surprise me... however, I was intrigued by the logo Zuckerberg chose to use at the presentation. Looks an awful lot like the the logo from those damned Dharma Initiative bastards from LOST, right?

Facebook rolls out new 'Timeline' design
Everything you know about your Facebook profile is about to change (again). Facebook's new "Timeline" design will automatically organize your photos, status updates and relationship changes into an interactive – you guessed it – timeline of your Facebook life. Timeline was introduced at Facebook's f8 conference in September, but was just made available worldwide today. Users will be able to remove unwanted photos, embarrassing status updates and other Facebook activity that was buried by Facebook's previous design. The Dictator is an upcoming 2012 film by Sacha Baron Cohen. Cohen's fourth film will "tell the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed", according to Paramount Pictures, which will distribute the film. Larry Charles, who previously directed Baron Cohen's mockumentaries Borat and Brüno, will also direct the film. Baron Cohen will star alongside Ben Kingsley and Anna Faris. It was captured less than 1 millisecond after the detonation using a rapatronic camera, which is capable of exposure times as brief as 10 nanoseconds (one nanosecond is one billionth of a second). The photograph was shot from roughly 7 miles away during the Tumbler-Snapper tests in Nevada (1952). The fireball is roughly 20 meters in diameter, and three times hotter than the surface of the sun. Accomplished lawyer, mother of two, First Lady and now, World Record holder in the category of 'Jumping Jacks'. I agree, it's a bit strange, but sometimes you gotta knock down walls to be heard these days. Michelle Obama has been an advocate for healthy eating/living as long as her husband's been in office and I guess she thought it was necessary start breaking records to get her point across...

The first lady announced in an email Monday that her October bid to break the record for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period succeeded. Mrs. Obama says 300,265 people participated, shattering the old record. In order to achieve her goal, Mrs. Obama led about 400 elementary and middle-school students from Washington in jumping jacks on the South Lawn of the White House. By this point I've seen all types of light-up home displays set to music. Generally they're all holiday themed and usually include some pop song that has nothing to do with Halloween or Christmas or whatever. This one is a bit different... Mostly because it's all about "being American" and seems to be sponsored by SemperFiFund.org. I don't know if there is some sort of political affiliation with this website, but when you post a video online with political themes there is always some sort of fallout (read: top comment on youtube)

The People Who Hate Tim Tebow
If you've lost interest in thinking about Tim Tebow, don't read the rest of this article. It will only make you crazy. I've just watched the Denver Broncos defeat the Minnesota Vikings, 35-32. Tebow was awful in the first half, passing for just 13 yards. He was quite good in the second half, finishing 10-of-15 for the game and completing three passes of more than 20 yards, a minor achievement he hadn't accomplished all year. The Broncos won by intercepting a pass in the final minute and kicking an easy field goal, so it would be misleading and reactionary and inaccurate to say that Tebow won them the game. As the saying goes "everything's bigger in Texas"... But, when you look at a map of the United States, you can tell that Texas itself is pretty big... It's so big that we have a hard time comprehending things larger than Texas and it has become the measuring stick for all things gigantic. "An asteroid the size of Texas". Clinton "Clint" Howard is an American film and television actor. He is a character actor with numerous brief appearances on television and films. He has played many bit parts in movies directed by his brother, actor-turned-director Ron Howard. In 1998, Howard was awarded the MTV Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is largely considered a spoof on Lifetime Achievement Awards with past recipients such as Godzilla, Jason Voorhees, Chewbacca and The Three Stooges. Howard is one of two actual actors to receive the award (the other being Jackie Chan). The award was retired after Howard's receiving it and replaced with the more serious Generation Award which has been given to actors whose work defines a generation (such as Tom Cruise and Adam Sandler). Nothing says out of touch with your fan base like a 7-foot-tall, pot-bellyed version Ben Franklin in a cut-off t-shirt as your team's mascot. I get it, Philadelphia was Ben Franklin's hometown, but I'm not so sure that when he was helping to shape the Declaration of Independence, it was one of his dreams to trampoline-dunk a basketball in front of an unenthusiastic Philadelphia 76ers crowd of roughly 4,000 people.
