is a Honolulu based photographer, who is the official photographer to the Governor of Hawaii and has worked with Pacific Command, Pacific Fleet, Pacific Air Forces and Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command to provide photographic coverage of various events. Including but not limited to the recent visit of the Philippine navy ship BRP Gregorio Del Pilar at Pearl Harbor, USS Ronald Reagan, numerous RIMPAC 2010 exercises, tours of various facilities and other special ceremonies. Born and raised in Hong Kong, with strong ties to the Philippines as well, Ricky has a unique and up to date view of events that shape the Asia Pacific region and where possible still interacts with events that occur there; such as organizing a fund raiser for the Japanese earthquake earlier this year. He also spends some of his time, educating people about differences between Asia and the US.
Recently Ricky has started to cover, artistic events such as the painting of the Water Writes Mural at Honolulu Community College, Onipa`a in Kakaako and others. As well as with a few charities/non-profits like MADD Hawaii and occasionally volunteers with Lanakila Pacific's Meals on Wheels program.
A network engineer in his former life, that specialized in planning and implementation, network security, reoccuring cost reductions, project management, VoIP deployments, and VMware virtualization, he will still take on IT clients but on a select basis only.
