Thank you for another great show. My friend Delores who has a dance studio was in the audience Friday night and is still raving about the choreography. You took these kids to a whole new level of dancing. Linda Nese Mainstage Center for the Arts/Comcast |

Creative Team and Production Team, thank you for a monumental job that was well done. Even though we all came to this with different levels of experience, nobody on the team ever gave up on the show and nobody ever gave up on the kids. That is true professionalism. We had many many obstacles to work around (trailers, children's theatre, schedules, Harmony, hair and costumes) yet nobody gave up and you are all AMAZING. I received a private note from Jack Shaw who wrote the review: "You have taken on a monumental task with such a large group of campers and can't limit your cast. You guys did a great job. This is the first time I have seen such terrific pacing and movement on stage in face of the numbers of campers." Congrats to all. so that explains why the shows you work with at Mainstage are so much fun to play for. I call you infectious because once I hear you pumping up the actors & dancers and the pit...it is very easy for me to want to play my best and hit every note dead on. I would be glad and proud to play for any show you direct. The energy that you got out of the cast of Hairspray was fantastic...and even though I sensed a potential drop-off in the talent level between the leads last week and this week (during this past Thursday's dress run) by last nights opening, I could tell you had said some important things in instruction and encouragement to the leads...they all amped it up several levels, and in some ways gave an even better performance! Girl, you are better than a strong cup of coffee! Stay in touch...let me know what projects you are working on...even if I can't play in it...it would be nice to check out some of your other productions! You told me to stay in touch...so I just did...TAG...YOU"RE IT! God's blessings heaped abundantly and heavily on you and your beautiful and handsome family! Fondly, Wayne Henderson ( bass player) |

Surprisingly, the dance numbers did well with the crowded stage as well; Renee Liciaga Chambers’ choreography, fit very well–showing high energy and interesting variety. I was amazed at the pace of this show. It seems odd to call a group this large on stage an ensemble; technically that’s what it is, but I feel “company” gives a better picture of the size of things. Having said that. The company radiated more energy than I could have imagined–especially when the music started. They worked together so well. |

"I had the honor of working with Renee on a production of RAGTIME at the Villagers Players in Somerset, NJ. Her dedication to her craft was evident from the first time I met her. The relationship between choreographer and music director can be a difficult one, where tempi and phrasing of the music directly affects the dance. Renee understands this relationship well and I had a wonderful experience working with her and I hope to have the opportunity to work with her again. Her choreography is inventive and accessible to all types of dance and all levels of dancers. I would give her my highest recommendation to anyone seeking a dancer/choreographer." Peter de Mets |
