Regan Sieck

BestPrep works to best prepare Minnesota students with business, career and financial literacy skills through experiences that inspire success in work and life. My work is to provide support for the Classroom Plus, eMentors, and Financial Matters programs at BestPrep. Coordinating with teachers and business professionals to bring speakers into classrooms to present on career awareness and financial literacy topics for Minnesota youth. Work with teachers and companies to coordinate an 8-week email mentor-ship program between high school students and business professional.

The College of Liberal Arts Student Board is the official undergraduate student government for the College of Liberal Arts and aims to connect the students to the administration to create a better academic experience. As a long-serving member of the Board, I worked in several areas of the Board. Through the various roles I had, I worked directly with students, CLA administration, department chairs, faculty, and alumni. I strengthened relationships with several key stakeholders to better improve the Board's platform and ability to create change within the college. Various Positions held: Interim Alumni Relations Chair (September 2012- October 2012), Chair of the Internal Committee (May 2011- December 2011) Chair of the Academic Committee (May 2010-May 2011).

Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF) strives to reveal leadership through service, relationships, and action. At STLF, I worked on several projects including editing the website, developing materials to promote programs to schools and teachers, fundraising materials for donors, and other projects as assigned. Worked with the development committee to work provide support for fundraising initiatives. Worked on high-level strategy and STLF brand, including updating the values to better reflect the work of the organization.

CommonBond Communities builds stable homes, strong futures, and vibrant communities. Working as apart of the Resource Development team at CommonBond, I assisted with the preparations for the GrandeGala, a 900-person formal fundraising event. My main responsibilities were to coordinate the 200+ item silent auction, a wine toss, and volunteer recruitment and management.

I work with students at Skyline Tower in St. Paul. Most of the students I work with are Somali immigrants learning English as a second language.
