Summary

I am a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota starting out as a young professional working at a local nonprofit called BestPrep. Trying to navigate the professional world, I am looking for volunteer and networking opportunities with other nonprofit professionals in the community. Very driven by a passion to serve the community through education, especially focusing on youth and under-served populations. I would love to become more involved in fundraising and development and I am also very interested in learning more about social entrepreneurship.

    BestPrep works to best prepare Minnesota students with business, career and financial literacy skills through experiences that inspire success in work and life. My work is to provide support for the Classroom Plus, eMentors, and Financial Matters programs at BestPrep. Coordinating with teachers and business professionals to bring speakers into classrooms to present on career awareness and financial literacy topics for Minnesota youth. Work with teachers and companies to coordinate an 8-week email mentor-ship program between high school students and business professional.

    The College of Liberal Arts Student Board is the official undergraduate student government for the College of Liberal Arts and aims to connect the students to the administration to create a better academic experience. I strengthened relationships with several key stakeholders to better improve the Board's platform and ability to create change within the college. Worked with the development committee to work provide support for fundraising initiatives. Worked on high-level strategy and STLF brand, including updating the values to better reflect the work of the organization.

    CommonBond Communities builds stable homes, strong futures, and vibrant communities. Working as apart of the Resource Development team at CommonBond, I assisted with the preparations for the GrandeGala, a 900-person formal fundraising event. My main responsibilities were to coordinate the 200+ item silent auction, a wine toss, and volunteer recruitment and management.
