Part 4: Hope.
“Jesus loves you as you are, not as you should be.
Jesus is not mad at you, He is mad about you.”
-Pastor Jon Courson
Put Jesus’ name in place of “love” on the 1 Corinthians 13 passage, then you’ll find the character of our God and savior.
Jesus is patient, Jesus is kind. He does not envy, He does not boast, He is not proud. He is not rude, He is not self-seeking, He is not easily angered, He keeps no record of wrongs. Jesus does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. He always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Jesus never fails.
He doesn’t love you more if you do all the good deeds in the world because He already loves you to the maximum capacity. We were sinners but Jesus loves us despite of us.
Who in this world would die for you? Some would say your moms, your dads, your siblings, your best friends, but who on earth would carry your sins and die for you? Who would go to the depths of hell and triumphs over death?
Jesus came earth to die for our sins. He is holy holy holy; who is without sin, thus He defeated death. Your sins are paid in full by Jesus’ blood on the cross. Not only your past sins, but the future sins also. He knows our hearts, He knows us all so well.
Luke 12:7 “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” ….
God The Father in Heaven created us, He created every single thing in existence, indeed He knows us and thinks about us all the time.
Jesus, His Son, the good shepherd, came to the world to save the lost sheeps.
Not only the ones who are lost now, but as sheeps we tend to wander away from time to time.
That’s why He is here with us, in every moment. The holy spirit is here to guide you like a turn by turn GPS, we just have to listen to it. The bible was given to us as life instruction manual, we should read it before we engage in anything.
1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” ….
I’m not here to condemn or to convert anyone. God loves you no matter who you are. You are free to believe what you want to believe, it’s your choice, your right to freedom. But I was down on a dark path and I don’t want anyone else go through the pain and emptiness I had to go through. I’m saying this out of God’s love for you, and my love for you.
If you need help to break the cycle of abuse, torment, misery and pain, don’t be afraid to reach out! Say a prayer to our God in heaven, cry for help, ask Jesus to come into your life. Declare wholeheartedly that you want to repent, and He will make your life anew! Listen to the warm, peaceful voice. You’ll know it in your heart when God speaks to you.
Stay faithful in your walk with Christ and be diligent in prayers :)
Message me your prayer request and I’ll be praying for you relentlessly.
