@mister_walsh And that's why I love that series (and Samurai Champloo), great characters. To have Vicious as your foil...insane

@mister_walsh I thought cryogenics wasn't a great idea after watching it...then Futurama came into my life.

How to Draw Mario by creator Shigeru Miyamoto. via maloneybaloney
Other than drawing Ninja Turtles and Astro Boy as a kid, I also taught myself to draw Super Mario.
*sigh* Looks like I have quite a bit on my plate this year. So much on my To Do List. Nothing will get in my way…especially old ladies.
On my breaks at the NBTC 11’ conference, I would doodle. On a brochure for CMA, Kevin had a smile that would light a room. Then I decided to do a sketch of Don Draper due to my everlasting crush on Jon Hamm. Lastly, there’s Evan! My new buddy on Facebook!
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before but I have a collection of collections. I collect a lot of random items. I have collections of Super Mario merchandise, Astro Boy, Star Wars, vintage cameras, Japanese candy, and the list goes on! Oh, trust me, I’m not a hoarder (I’m much neater and organized).
Once in a while, I will have a friend come across something to add to my collection. In this case, I was given a Polaroid Land Camera 1000. To reward such a rare find, I created a thank you card for my mother’s co-worker. In the past, he gave me his collection of Gundam models and he even kept the manuals with them (which are just insane!).
Once again, thank you William!

MODERN TOOLS OF CREATION:
Since the invention of the personal computer, the tools of creation have become increasingly widespread, cheaper and easier to use. These tools enable billion dollar companies like Facebook to be bootstrapped in the proverbial “dorm room”. How else have business models changed?
With the increasing spread of smartphones new businesses are also built through the various “apps” markets. What will be the next Angry Birds sensation? How can we utilize these Modern Tools of Creation to build the next Groupon? Come hear our speakers talk about how these tools have forever changed the way business is done and where the trends of technology are headed.

I know I should be doing work but I got inspired by the anonymous female image on Facebook. So, I decided to put my own spin to this with my nerd love. This is what you would see as my profile pic. I would post a link to my Facebook but I have been tagged with too many photos of me in a Speedo.
This week’s portrait model is Denise Kwan. I had to tell her something both graphic and disgusting (which I will not share). Expect to see a spanking-new portrait each week!
A sign that someone doesn’t have great taste in music is when they say, ‘I like anything but Country music.’
In Canada, we like “u”. We like it “u” in our colours. We also like “u” when we ask for a favour. But I guess I can’t get “u” in my flavor.me But, I want YOU to come and see my flavor.me!

I’m currently adding a new tab on my site for 3D and sculptures. This is Voltrom. It’s based on the Voltron and my brother (Rom). This was a piece commissioned for this year’s KULTURA last month. Stay tuned for website updates to see this mech in all its awesomeness!
A long time ago, my friend David Janer told me to stop posting on DeviantART. He said the terms and conditions weren’t friendly to illustrators and I would be grouped in with furries and crayon drawings of Cloud from Final Fantasy 7. I took his advice and worried no more. Then googling my name (because I’m vain) I found one of my old images were used without my permission. I was bummed down that Victoria Pearman took an image of my work without asking. But it didn’t hurt as much as the burn of acid was dissolving my heart when she used these terrible fonts.
So thanks for ruining my day, Victoria Pearman (not the famous producer).
Here’s a revision of the character design. I’ve made them a bit older (roughly 4-5 yrs) and made the faces more geometric. The hardest part of drawing younger versions of us is getting our noses down.
