* The Map Network. Angel Investor and Counsel to start-up pioneer in place- and event-based data and mapping, acquired by Nokia/NAVTEQ in 2006. Exited with 4x return.
* Witten Technologies. Angel Investor in early-stage, technology company that earned the Wall Street Journal’s 2004 Technology Innovation Award. Crashed and burned.
Rafael previously practiced as an attorney advising technology start-up and early-stage companies and as a regulatory enforcement counsel and commercial litigator. He is admitted to practice in California, the District of Columbia, Florida, and New York. Rafael also served as an officer in the U.S. Marines.
