Carey Mulligan | Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (May 3rd, 2013)
↳ About meeting Jay-Z: “It went really badly. I’m going red now thinking about it. I built it up in my head and I was like “I’m in a movie…” and I’m english, you know. I don’t end up in films where Jay-Z has anything to do with it. And so, I was like “Oh, Jay-Z, this is crazy and big, and I’m going to be so cool” but you know, enthusiastic, and he came over to me at the premiere two days ago and he was so nice, and he like, reached to shake my hand and started saying words, I don’t remember what they were. I went sort of blank and I remember saying “I know you…”. What I was trying to say is like “I know you had such a great involvement…”, all these articulate things in my head and I went “I know you…ahhh…” [giggles nervously] “and that was it”.
The bad days, the good nights.
In the great shipwreck of life,
We all fall down.
-- IAMX "The Great Shipwreck of Life"
this mix is dedicated to all my otps
who all seem to suffer and be miserable
god why do I do this to myself
Wow, Sophie, your hair looks just like starlight. It's beautiful.
Request: An instrumental mix inspired by the setting. I based it off the scene near the start of the movie where the sunset bathes the entire city and its surrounding hills in a beautiful reddish glow. That scene where Sophie stood on the tram, looking off into the distance with the wind whipping at her hair and the castle moving ponderously over the hills, creaking and sighing as it goes.
There cannot be a happy ending to the fight between the raging gods and humans. However, even in the middle of hatred and killings, there are things worth living for. A wonderful meeting, or a beautiful thing can exist.
(instrumental mix for mononoke hime, mostly flutes in soaring and wistful tracks.)
47 songs, inspired by Casker's "47 (ver. 2)".
"I shouldn't have expected anything from you but
I couldn't let go
I couldn't let go"
- Casker "47 ver. 2"
(basically a playlist of sad depressing Korean tunes.)
(also includes the original "47" by Casker.)
I typed the whole tracklist for you: http://fuckyeahkindie.tumblr.com/post/39716696917/hi-love-your-mixtape-but-do-you-mind-posting-a-clear
Best 30 Korean songs of 2012, as decided by me. (and 1 honorable mention, I guess.) No Psy here, sorry.
This playlist is in order; to see why I like each of the songs or whatever, check out this blog post: strangeseasons.blogspot.com/2013/01/korean-music-in-2012-part-1-top-30-songs.html
A long overdue rock post. Sorry, no light acoustic summertime tunes in this one. Quite the opposite; featuring: B'z, Yoon Do Hyun Band, Kyosuke Himuro, Jade, Deli Spice, Michihiro Kuroda, Nastyona, Swallow, Sister's Barbershop, Tak Matsumoto, Huckleberry Finn, & Kim Sarang.
"Time will pass. Only time.
And a time will come
when we can no longer name
what it is that binds us." - Hiroshima Mon Amour
some of my favourite korean ballads. including artists like K.Will, SG Wannabe and Ha Dong Kyun.
A kdrama soundtrack mix. Some good dramas, some bad dramas, but all good songs, featuring: Lee Shin Sung-Capital Scandal, Kim Bo Kyung-City Hunter, Bobby Kim-Fashion 70s, Edward Chun-Let's Go to the Beach, Clazziquai Project-My Name Is Kim Sam Soon, AB Avenue-Prosecutor Princess, Yi Sung Yol-Que Sera Sera, Song Seung Hun-Sad Love Story, Hyun Bin-Secret Garden, L & Kim Ye Rim-Shut Up Flower Boy Band, Eniac-Soulmate, Jang Geun Suk-You're Beautiful, & Jung Yong Hwa-You've Fallen For Me.
my longest playlist yet - at 10 tracks. a few have an almost straight up old-fashioned jazz feel, but most are modern deviations of it. best served with a hint of morning sun and a cup of coffee. featuring shiori takei, paris match, roller coaster, and casker.
old fashioned japanese classics from 1981-1987, a genre no one my age cares for... featuring: anzen chitai, inoue yosui, kobayashi asami, kisugi takao, hamada shogo, nakamori akina, tokunaga hideaki, oda kazumasa, & murashita kozo.
It doesn't let me add two tracks from the same artist/and or album, so I renamed the artists and albums with numbers and keyboard smashing. It's all by Clazziquai, so the song titles are valid, just not the artist. Enjoy.
she carries unknown things inside her like old volumes
they will never read without her
and as the moves get in their heads they know that they
don't know something about her
there were wolves
there are wolves hiding in the woods and they can smell the blood on the summer air
-- The Accidental "Wolves"
a sansa stark fanmix.
It doesn't let me add two tracks from the same artist/and or album, so I renamed the artists and albums with numbers and keyboard smashing. It's all by Epik High, so the song titles are valid, just not the artist. Enjoy.
