BIT.CODE by Julius Popp - Coded Information

'BIT.CODE plays with the re-encoding of information and the recognizability of signs. It works with the infinite possibilities for combination of a finite number of bits, the smallest units of information.
The bits appear as black and white elements on the individual segments of the string. Each string is coded with the same bit pattern, which is reminiscent of Morse code. If the strings are moved in parallel, words seemingly appear (for a certain period of time) from ‘out of nowhere’ and disappear again.' - Julius Popp

The perceived information causes a short opportunity for pause, a moment of serenity, of clarity – before the incessant flow of constellations, motions and changes starts anew.

EELS - Projection mapping multiplayer game

EELS is an R&D project developed at B-Reel London. It combines various technologies into a multiplayer game experience where people can control their virtual EEL projected on a physical installation. People could participate by using their mobile devices, using an HTML5 interface to provide direct control over their EEL.

Water Calligraphy Device - Nicholas Hanna

Water Calligraphy has a long history in China, normally characterized by older Chinese men painting characters on the ground of parks with long brushes and water.


Nicholas' version is a wee bit more complicated.

Nicholas Hanna is an installation and media artist working in Beijing.

Cocktail Molotov Art by T-Radya

Portraits of fallen Russian WWII soldiers by t-radya. The faces were made of bandages and were then burned. Afterwards, the portraits were put up on the walls of an abandoned WWII hospital in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
