Digital Media Artist
a few different VJ loops/samples i've created for upcoming live VJ sets.
produced with a lot of different anlog & digital gear like ipads, iphones, hardware rhythm machines, my own DIY "GLITCH GRINDER One" Visual FX Hardware, lots of mirrors, magnifying lenses, a few old analog videocameras, POLAROID Instant Cams/Lenses, VHS tape recorders loaded with scratched and "broken" tapes, an old PANASONIC WJ-AVE videomixer and several methods to capture and import everything into AFX to slightly modify some adjustments and add little modifications to the footage before the final rendering.
it was a lot of work, endless hours of time and a big amount of love, idealism and curiosity involved to create all that different looks by using a lot of my old gear that laid around for years. a lot of unexpected results happened during the whole production and this will be the reason why it got this independent, grungy (some kind of oldschool-kaleid-O-scopic) style and look.
reminds me a bit of the early days of visualism ;-)
OLD HARDWARE ROCKS !!
USE IT !!
ABUSE IT !!
MOD IT !!
HAVE FUN WITH IT !!
digital renderings are really great, but not always necessary ;-)
