(Two things about this piece. First, I’ve written in all caps for my whole life, so the lower case writing I produce is hilariously childlike. Secondly, all of the old Expo Line train cars were named for cities around BC - hence the “Spirit of ___”. I just realised that not everyone would get that reference.)

Today, for my ongoing “Hi Translink, Hire me!” series, I was trying to think of the coolest thing I’ve ever seen happen on a Vancouver bus. The first thing that came to mind was a video I remember watching on RapCity (MuchMusic). Basically, these guys bust some serious moves inside of a moving bus. Check it out here.
I was thinking about Vancouver transit the other day, and how far the region has come since I was in high school. There’s no comparison to the slick Canada Line stations we have today, and the clunky 75¢ bus I used to ride from Coquitlam into Vancouver. Those paper strip transfers the drivers used to give you would dissolve in the rain…
