- What’s your favorite Airport, and why?BUF - it's tiny, crappy airport, but there's never any lines and the people are friendly. - What's your biggest pet peeve?Slow typers. We live in a world where typing is involved in the main form of communication. If you can't type without looking at the keys, you should learn to. - What are your favorite programming language(s) and why ?To be honest, my favorite language tends to change, and it tends to be the one I'm working with most at that time. My favorite language has changed from Java, to JavaScript, to Ruby, and it might be back to Java now. If I did have to pick one, it would probably be JavaScript. - What's the best thing about working at Twitter?There are two things that make working at Twitter awesome. 1) The people. I'm working with the most amazing group of intelligent and fun people - they are people that, after work is done, I still want to hang out with. 2) The feeling that I'm working on something that is changing the world and bringing people together in a way that was never possible before. - Why did you decide to become a software engineer?To be honest, I never really thought of anything else. I've been programming since I was a kid. I dabbled with some other career choices but they were just phases. I love to program, I love designing/planning, I love problem solving, so software engineering just makes sense. - What do you do @ Twitter ?I'm an software engineer on internal systems. I work a lot with our internal support tools that our admin agents use to support Twitter. I also work on miscellaneous internal tools as needed, and some miscellaneous user-facing stuff as well, like help.twitter.com.
