My month at BBC Radio Manchester involved roles as producer and journalist on the Breakfast With Beswick programme. My content creation included a package that I produced in its entirety. Sourcing interviewees for the programme and producing pre-recorded material for bulletins. I had two vox pops aired this included interviews both face to face and over the phone. I received comprehensive training in Radioman and ENPS.
I came up with story ideas that were broadcast. I shadowed journalists and I was trained to use video editing to an even higher standard.
A 3 month internship based around advertising and marketing for Global Radio. The XFM team have trained me on the systems involved in analysing the market and clients who wish to advertise with them. I have been trained to analyse RAJAR data using Ad Dynamix and the Ralf systems. It was cut short due to university commitments.
A four week placement that resulted in an email inviting me to apply for more placements. I was a runner, assisting in the various aspects of their programming, such as setting up the sets and looking after celebrity guests; this experience offered me an insight into Television and its workings.
