Darin Rajabian and Caroline Myrick met at a Michigan house show in early 2010. They soon discovered a mutual infatuation with dream-life, dancing, and pop music, and began work on a new project to incorporate Caroline’s soft vocals with Darin’s classic euro-disco inspired tracks. The music evolved, and after months of work, they formed the sound of Nightlife.

friday was disco lights, old friends, and icy cold cigarettes under rainy overhangs: the berkley front.
saturday was long drives, short sets, new songs, and miniature wine bottles inside a catholic church, late night dark halls behind the sanctuary: the westside inn
and now, after a bedtime of 5am, sunday is easter chocolate in bed and madmen. all that clean laundry is staying right where it is on the floor.

tomorrow night NL will be playing at the university of michigan museum of art. we’re not even entirely sure what all will be happening: late night nonsense among the oils and granite.

last night at the pyramid scheme was pierced nipples, traditional indian garb, well whiskey on the rocks, cowboy hats, confetti, and bras thrown on stage. overall, a successful night with our babies, alexis, and new friend, duane the teenage weirdo.
back from our bumpy-road journey to sxsw. my feet are black from going barefoot and all our cases look like they’ve been through battle, but what perfection: late nights with texas dancers, day shows in the sun, bill murray, finest friends, no sleep, frozen margaritas, sunburns, devoted fans, delirium— whatever I expected, I was given so much more. austin, take us back!
future forward: festivals and road travels— 11 new songs basking and baking; keep your eyes open— such good things to come.
for SXSW, little yous! Join us for this monstrous festival next month and maybe we can rent bikes together. Check our website here: http://nightlifepop.com/shows for show updates!
