This video, created by ARTE’s french production team, is a part of a 100-minute documentary about Greece. I was asked to cover specific chapters of the documentary, such as “Democracy”, "Economy" etc, with photographic material that captures the social deprivation, demonstrations and police brutallity during Athens' crisis.
Our hands are our speech
"Outstretched hand toward the sky, fingers spread. In Greece it means 'Get out asshole'. A message by thousands of citizens who have been protesting for months on Syntagma Square, addressed to those they now regard as enemies and oppressors of the Greek people. And they are many. IMF, Troika, Germany, the banks and last but not least the greek political class."
