Hi! I'm a web designer and developer. I like taking photos and playing Ultimate. I also like getting emails.
Planned ahead before our Boracay trip was to go to our friend’s new place at La Union. Then we heard about the Surf and Music fest by GoSurPH and that gave us another reason to push through.
Packed my stuff a couple of days before leaving Laguna. I tend to over pack on beach trips but I’m now finally getting used to packing. Yay for leaving my room at home.
Had a lot of first on this trip. First time to ride a bus going north. First 7-hour bus ride. First time in La Union.
We met a lot of people and made new friends with our short stay. All of my beach trips are unforgettable but this one is uncomparable.
And as usual, this post is a photo dump of our trip. Enjoy!

Yay! Boracay!
Some of my Ultimate team mates, ex-teammates, college friends and I went to Boracay for the Boracay Open 2013 last March 8. (Yeap, this is a long overdue post.) Some joined the tourney but most of us including me was there for the beach and to party… ha!
It was a first for the team to travel this far for a tournament. Every day and night spent in Boracay was unforgettable and worth it. It left me a vacay hangover for more than a week that’s why I’m just posting this now. I wish we could have stayed a little longer.
Since I’m too lazy to write everything, this post will be a summarized photo dump with captions of what we did in Boracay.
Have fun viewing!
Left Manila around 5am.

We stayed at Bamboo Beach Resort — Station 3.
Room’s recieving area
Our room contains four beds which is good for eight people
At daytime while the scorching hot sun is up and my friends are away to do activities, I just ate and watched the Boracay Open. I made sure I didn’t miss the action packed finals. There was a lot of neck and back breaking layouts. Congratulations to Boracay Dragons for winning Boracay Open for the 11th consecutive year! Undefeated!
When the sun goes down…
We’re up all night to party!
That’s all!
Spent my weekend with buzzbie and friends at Nuvali’s Night-Sky Cinema. People placed picnic mats or just lay on the grass like the free summer movies done on NYC parks.
They had a giant inflatable slide for kids and a lot of food concessionaires. Even spotted friends selling food and stuff.
It was a great experience and I hope Nuvali will do this often :)
Fell in line for Fish and Chips!

This fungus, the saprobe Panellus Stipticus, is displaying the type of bioluminescence known as foxfire. Foxfire is a natural form of phosphorescence.
Foxfire is a type of luminescence displayed by certain types of fungi that decay wood. Foxfire usually is a greenish light, though reports exist of a reddish glow being emitted from some species of fungus.
Can someone get me a dead tree?

I liked her track Align on The Venus Flytrap Collection by Terno Recordings. Ended up buying all of her tracks on iTunes. First music purchase for 2013.
Moonrise on the Pacific. Long Exposure. Taken around 7PM
Spent my long weekend with college friends. The guys who share the same birth month decided to celebrate it together at the beach.
We stayed at The Park - Real, Quezon. It’s just a three hour drive from Manila. We only stayed for two days because some of us have work on Sunday. Yeah, what a bummer. haha
Besides drinking gallons of beer we also had other activities. We played Ultimate, skimmed/surfed, and trekked Balagbag falls. I wasn’t able to take photos of us playing frisbee or surfing because we left our cameras on purpose. We had to cross a river to get to the surf spot, and the river gets very deep on high tides. It’s better to be safe than sorry!
To sum it up, it’s a fun-and-booze-filled, action-packed, uber bitin weekend. I’ll be back at Real for more.

Last Wednesday (November 28th) was Up Dharma Down’s Capacities album launch. One Esplanade was jam packed but since I was one of the early birds, I get to watch near the stage.
Getting a pre-order ticket was worth it because I got awesome UDD stuff! (See photos at the end part of this post.)

You know what’s cool about Capacites? Paul and Carlos playing synths!

I’m getting the hang of having a two-light setup but still hoping for a third one.
Turn It Well
LOLz. Sorry, had a lotta screw-ups on this. I’m too lazy to re-do and record again.
Playing the guitar keeps me calm and steady specially when I get giddy about something like Up Dharma Down’s new album. I can’t wait! 28th come sooner!
This is Pat’s cat, Walter. They’re staying here at Santa Rosa for the weekend and I felt like I have to do a photoshoot with Walter because I haven’t tried pet photography before.
Ponch and Abby assisted me with lights and the cat. I bought a couple of bristol boards for the background. Used just one light setup and it worked great. I think it’s not that bad for my first try.
A skateboard competition sponsored/organized by Grind and Longboard Laguna was held at Solenad-Nuvali last Sunday, October 28th.The competition was divided into three categories; Slalom, Freestyle and Push Race.
My brother and a lot of skaters (groups and individuals) nearby and from different parts of the Metro went to Nuvali to compete.
Since we only live a few minutes away, (Literally, we’re 3 mins away even with traffic) I stayed there, walked under the sun, took a few photos and watched ‘til the end of the race.
Such a fun crowd. I hope there are more of this kind of activities near our place.

I went to Hidalgo yesterday to buy batteries for my flash triggers. Also went around asking for a 9ft boom lightstand’s price and ended up buying one. It was forever on my wishlist because it’s kinda expensive but yay (finally) and nay (no more money)
The photos above of my lil bro are test shots using the boom angled for slight overhead lighting. I used a bare speedlight for rim lighting. I could have used my DIY grid snoot but I want flare for these shots. I think lens flares are cool but sometimes cheesy. Lolz
Went to saGuijo last weekend for Terno Inferno and for Up Dharma Down’s Capacities preorder tickets.
If you haven’t heared, UDD is launching a new album entitled Capacities at the end of next month and they’ve been selling preorder/launch tickets at their shows. I turned my fan-mode on and made sure that I’d be there on the last day of ticket selling. Here’s my ticket
I am excite!!1 Can’t wait for November 28 (LOL Rhymes)
Visit Up Dharma Down’s website for more details about Capacities. www.updharmadown.com
