- Jan 2007 - PresentLead Partner Manager / America's ChoiceMichael Czerniawski is the Lead Partner Manager for the School Improvement Grant (SIG) at Richards Career Academy High School in Chicago. In this position, he leads the implementation of the SIG plan, guiding the efforts of administrators, coaches, teachers, and others. He also leads a team of America’s Choice staff, stewarding the development, implementation, and monitoring of curriculum, professional development, and assessment activities associated with the project. The team helps improve leadership, create professional learning communities, foster stronger home-school connections, and focus instruction on standards and student needs (what America’s Choice calls the five design tasks). In addition, Czerniawski is the main point of contact with the Chicago Public Schools, and acts as a liason between the school, America’s Choice, and the district.
- 2007 - 2011IDS Lead Manager / America's ChoiceAs the IDS Lead Manager, Czerniawski supervised a team of literacy coaches who supported high school teachers in selected high schools and provided leadership support for administrators and teacher leaders in those schools. He supported district staff’s efforts in the areas of coaching, literacy, assessment, and leadership as well. He also was responsible for the development and implementation of curriculum, professional development, and assessment activities associated with the project.
