Helped launch two cross-platform Internet > TV shows, Current:News and Upstream. For both shows, the daily workflow included in-depth research of stories going to air, sourcing and compiling stories, working in ‘real-time’ updating breaking news as well as managing the ‘picked for TV’ assets such as user’s comments and ‘tweets’ on TV, as well as nurturing and developing the associated online communities. Whilst working as the Online Editor/Producer for Upstream, the tech, gaming, movies and weird science show, responsibilities included presenting a daily editorial meeting to a small team, highlighting all suitable content available for the show and assisting in script writing/editing. Proven research skills were imperative to ensuring broadcasts were factually correct, legally sound under the ‘Fair Dealing’ constraints and both interesting and engaging to a young demographic audience.
