“Seeing the unseen is humanly possible” really nice print ad #ManpowerGroup @manpowergroupjj ~ “True vision is seeing people’s full potential.” ~ I only wish I got my fathers better than 20/20 vision.

March 6th ~ A great day to be able to walk! ~ 12th anniversary of my lapidus fusion (before & after pictures) 9 weeks on crutches non-weight bearing 11 weeks with a cast on my leg. Hypermobility syndrome in my body caused the most problems in my right foot. Since my surgery I’ve learned to: walk (again), ride a bike, swing on a trapeze, touch my toes to my head and snowboard (very badly).

I used to carry around this sheet of images during my recovery if anyone asked me questions and were curious enough to know more.

If you need a great podiatrist in San Francisco check out Daisy Sundstrom she’s amazing! http://www.permanente.net/homepage/kaiser/pages/c6703-top.html

His voice seemed to say like the river, ‘Why hurry? Eternity is long; the ocean can wait.’

Drinking horn with alchemy symbols in engobe (liquid clay) and iron oxide wash impressed pentagrams with wax resist.

A very coarse silk screen was burned with the symbols then a thinned out mixture of engobe was used for printing. Printing was done on a thin, delicate tissue like paper and allowed to dry. Symbols were cut out from sheets and applied to damp clay. Paper burned off in the first firing leaving behind the symbols.

…”Modern architecture, which is thought to improve our living conditions by promoting cleanliness and efficiency, has disconnected our sense, which in the case of the first image is the visual impairment created by cubicles. Only Mr. Hulot, who is on the second level sees the absurdity of the cubicles.”
