- Nov 2009 - PresentSPF CP Programme Manager / Foreign and Commonwealth OfficeI managed the FCO’s £2.7m Strategic Programme Fund for Counter Proliferation (SPF CP). This meant (1) allocating funding to well designed projects in line with the SPF strategy and linked to FCO foreign policy priorities; (2) following up with sound financial management, comprehensive reporting and robust evaluation to ensure that projects deliver their objectives on time and in budget. Key achievement: 98% spend in financial year 09/10, despite a 10% in year funding cut
- Oct 2008 - PresentEU Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Policy / Foreign and Commonwealth OfficeI led for the FCO on EU justice and home affairs (JHA). This meant (1) working closely with a range of other departments (mainly Home Office, MoJ, UKBA) on the UK contribution to the EU’s 5 year JHA work programme (2) representing the UK at the EU working group on JHA external relations (JAIEX) (3) providing advice to ministers and senior officials on the use of the UK’s opt in on a case by case basis. Key achievement: a UK friendly 5 year work programme agreed at the December 2009 JHA Council
- Aug 2007 - PresentOptical Assistant / Optical ExpressI worked in a public facing sales team, responsible for recommending optical products to customers. I worked closely with the rest of the team to ensure that we consistently met our collective sales targets.

The programme aimed to support newly arrived international students by providing informal drop in mentoring sessions.
