Thank you so much Ashley Roe from Seattle Weekly for your kind words about my solo project!
I had the most amazing opportunity to record and make a video of a cover of Jeff Buckley’s song “Lover, You Should’ve Come Over” with Jonah Simone of Dead End Friend. Huge thank yous to Joshua Taylor for handling the camera with artistry.
Here is a photo shoot I had with the incredible Jiamin Zhu several months back! In order to get up to the roof top, Jiamin and I climbed a ladder up the side of the building. Talk about getting the shot! The name behind this shoot is “Build Up, Break Down” in order to make a statement about the similarity between the act of perfecting our bodies and our world. While cutting down trees for developments and getting flawless surgeries in whatever bodily spot you are unsatisfied with, there is a point where we have forgotten the beauty behind the natural, and lost a sense of our roots. In order to give love to our world, we must first learn to love ourselves.
Here is a song I wrote being performed at The Royal Room by my band Ventrillo featuring Darian Asplund on the saxophone.
Very excited to be sitting in with Darian and Farko Dosumov at The Mercury on Wednesday night.
What an incredible experience Sound Off! 2013 was. I cannot thank EMP and all that were involved enough for giving me this opportunity and kick starting my solo project full throttle. Check out this quality video EMP staff caught of my song “One”.
