Hi All:

I've been gone from here so long. & it is so sad. So I'm back for a bit. Above is a cute little image for you pulled straight from my photo collection archive. I took this pic a while back, but it's still one of my faves. Enjoy.

New secret blog is a TUMBLR blog... <3

I have a new blog. It is awesome. It is secret. I will give you clues in the next couple days or weeks. Only a select few will be able to find it...
March 28, 12:23 AM
Yeah, so I have decided that this blog will be a mix between a diary and a work log, if that makes any sense. I feel like there are things in my life right now that need to be evaluated, meaning I will be writing about them here.

Do not try and guess who I am angry with. If it's you, there is a good reason I haven't told you face to face.

I realize this may be vague, but it's the best I can do without harming myself in the process by giving out too much information.

So it will be more of a diary/work log that sometimes gives you a sort of scavenger hunt to go on. What am I talking about? Well, I may give you clues in my blog posts that lead you to finding out more than I put into writing here. That's the most I can say. If you find where the clues lead you, great. If not, oh well, too bad.

This is after all, half diary, half something else...

...when people butt in where they don't belong and put their nose in other people's business. Basically when people butt in to my business and I can't angrily yell at their faces. That frustrates me. WHY DO SOME PEOPLE WANT TO MAKE ME ANGRY?!

I just wish you would stop. Please stop. I don't want to hear it when you have something annoying to say. Is that understood?

Oh, and forget trying to control everything and everyone. You can't!!! Sometimes I want to move far away so I don't have to deal with you. Sorry, but if you know this is you, just deal with your own business because they aren't children.

Oh, and you other person, you have angered me and shocked me and I don't like you very much anymore, but I have to pretend to like you. It soooo sucks. I wish you could just see how awful you act. Too bad that mirror you own is too foggy for you to see the truth.

Oh, and the other person who thinks I like you. I don't. You deceive people and you may think you have deceived me, but I'm just playing the game. You aren't to be trusted, and I know that now. Stop running your mouth off so much! It makes you look really bad. If you even read this, you probably still wouldn't realize this was describing you. Keep deceiving yourself.

Oh, and for the one who I offended a few months ago, I am sorry. I backed off because I didn't realize I was forcing my beliefs on you, and if I did, I am sorry about that. I guess I didn't see it.

Oh, and for the first person again, get a life of your own and stop trying to manipulate and control everyone else's. I so wish I could tell you this to your face, but it's just too complicated. I could damage someone else's feelings in the process, and, quite frankly, their feelings are 4 million % more important to me than yours.

Hi All! We are working on a brand new design for Paper Aquarium. We've designed the new logo, color scheme, and we are learning how to use drupal. So far, I'm learning drupal very quickly. It is super easy to use now that I've gotten used to it. There are still a couple issues I need to resolve, but it should be on its way to becoming AWESOME! I hope you guys enjoy. It could be weeks or even months before the new site is live on the net, but be patient. It will be worth it. Check back here often for updates.

If any of you know how to put the buysellads.com ad codes into a drupal website, please let me know. :) thanks!

Hi all! I have taken somewhat of a break from writing, and am working on illustrating again. I am doing things for myself this time. Reasons:

{1} I need a way to keep stress down.

{2} I need to build up my portfolio.

{3} I haven't been drawing as much as I should -- which is eventually what I want to do full time.

So, that's what's up right now. I've been looking around the internet for inspiration and have found a lot. So I will be busy coming up with amazing stuff I hope.

Thanks for reading.

Yeah, so the pet blog idea was silly, but I have too much else to do anyway, so I'm focusing on my other goals. Some are new ones, actually. I've listed them below:

{1} Write a full novel. Fiction. For Young Adults. (Although, when one writes, she is not to think
too much about the audience as much as she should think about making the story as amazing as possible.) I'm very excited, but also sort of overwhelmed by this goal. Let's see what happens. :D

{2} Learning as much as possible about designing, building, and sustaining a very nice-looking website. Actually, websites.

Coming Soon: MaceyLou.com
Here Right Now: Paper Aquarium Magazine

{3} Update and restructure the Paper Aquarium Magazine Site. The site is too much work to code, and as we have it set up currently, the more people who submit things to it, the more difficult and lengthy the work becomes. We have to find out how to create a "sign-up" system, which many websites have such as Facebook, Myspace, Amazon, Blogspot, Twitter, and the list could include almost all current popular websites right now (Well, certainly not "almost all," but you understand how easy it seems, with so many sites including a way to "sign-up.").

*NOTE: If any of you readers have any ideas on how to set up a sign-up form or any other interesting coding, let me know please. :)

{4} Be better at what I do, in general. I'm hoping to improve most, if not all, of my skills. I want to have a nicely put together portfolio with many different works and skills showing through. I'm such a multi-tasking type of person. It's hard for me to try and settle into only one particular skill or hobby. I have tons of them. They definitely need to be improved, however. I get bored if I have nothing to do. In fact, I always give myself something to do if no one else will. If I have nothing going on at the moment, I am sure to come up with something if I'm bored for any length of time. I get sleepy if I just sit with nothing to do. It's tiring and a waste of time to be bored, especially in this day and age.

THINGS I AM NO LONGER WORKING ON:
I've finished the second book that I illustrated for Gaylen. Yay! I love it when I have a finished work to put in my portfolio. It's liberating.

I am no longer working on the short story I started directly on this blog site. It seemed to be going nowhere, and I didn't want to disappoint readers or myself with a bad ending or loose ends. I would have also felt I had wasted my time. If you still want me to finish this short story, and are dying to know the outcome, feel free to leave me a comment telling me so. I will take it into consideration, but if I ever do decide to finish that short story, it will be a long time before I do. Sorry for any annoyance or inconvenience this may have caused.

-Thanks-

Any comments or questions? Drop me a comment. Thanks so much for reading!

Hi Readers:

So, I'm thinking of making a facebook, twitter, and blog for my cat, Rupert. Yeah, I miss him. He lives with my parents and I miss him terribly. Derek and I were hanging out at the mall today with the kittens in the pet store. We played with them for so long, left, came back, and played with them some more. Ahhh, I miss having a kitty cat.

I feel like it would be super epic to give Rupert his own facebook, twitter, and blog! He (I) could write all things catty. He could send emails, tweet, and all that fun stuff. Sad thing is, I don't think I have time to be his secretary/writer. It's tough to juggle everything as it is, but wouldn't it be fabulous?? I think it would be.

Thoughts?? Advice?

One of my Notes on Facebook (Sunday---Talking about Saturday below--not yesterday...)

"I'm so stuck on my book. Not because of being blocked, but because of having too many random ideas.I just can't seem to get motivated to pull it all together into a feasible plot that draws people in quickly, keeps them there, etc etc. I will just have to keep brainstorming. Today was such a strange day, I'm bound to get random ideas.

We saw a house fire. This may sound strange and it is. We were driving to Morristown Bible Bookstore to Gaylen's book signing so I could pick up my books. On the way from there afterwards, we saw a huge cloud of smoke. HUGE. It was dark gray. I don't know why, but I wanted to see it up close. Maybe partially because of that house fire that was in that abandoned house next door to us a couple months back. Ever since then, I have been creeped out and intrigued by house fires.

I made Derek follow the roads to the smoke today (yesterday). As we got closer, I started to wonder if it was Betty's house (a lady we work with who has been off work because of a major shoulder surgery. We helped her out a couple days, so we knew where she lived.) I was worried about her at that point. We drove closer to the source of the smoke. Then we passed her house. It wasn't hers, thank goodness. We continued down the road and we could tell the fire was close. In fact, it was in the same neighborhood kind of as Betty's house. Just maybe 3 or 4 blocks/ roads over. Then we started to see a line of cars. Most people were coming out of there houses if they weren't already, to see what was going on. I mean, the smoke was billowing UP way UP! 2 or 3 roads away was where the house was, but there were HUGE ashes falling on us! It was so eerie for me for some reason. Derek wanted to go back because of all the traffic, but I told him to get us to that other road (it was a bigger road I believed the house to be on). It was also less congested. The cars were driving at a normal pace on that street, I could tell. So I knew I had to get to that road.

Derek went right (opposite direction of fire) so we could go a different way to that road. It's sort of like Newport right there, you can't really get lost -- I told Derek this because he was worried. lol Traveling in Newport sort of gave me experience in the small-town type of roads and how they always inevitably will lead to the main road if you go in the right direction. lol

Anyway so when we made it to the road right past the house, it was so sad. The house was completely GONE. Only a pathetic amount of burnt walls remained with only a hint of white siding and a square hole where a window used to be. It was terrifying even though I was perfectly safe. The firefighters all looked like they were from some kind of hollywood movie, so epic, so...heroic. The water was pouring out over the burnt up lot, surrounded almost completely by burnt up trees. Then I spotted him -- Jon (spelling of his last name I don't know). He was taking a photo of the scene. He works at the Citizen Tribune we work at. Even him taking a photo of the scene was eerie and epic all at the same time, I can't explain it. And at the same time, seeing an ambulance, I wondered and hoped that the people were okay.

Today had so many weird coincidences and epicness to it that I wondered if I was dreaming.

Other smaller events that happened:

1) bad sandwiches at -----s, so bad I had to be THAT person that complains and gets remade ones. I mean they were barely edible. I was afraid I would chip a tooth on that chicken patty!! Man! I was as tactful as I could be to the workers, though, I wasn't angry, just didn't want food poisoning or a chipped tooth haha! It looked like it was bad chicken too, actually.

2) A man outside ------s, I noticed while sitting inside, was talking to a woman and touching her face, like they were friends or even in love maybe. (Not abnormal, but listen to this...) Then later on I look back out there, and he seems to be romancing another woman, at the readlight! Definitely not the same woman bc she was in a different colored car. I knew it was him standing in the road though. He had a bright ORANGE hoodie and with a dark one on underneath so that his dark navy hood was over his head, he had a cap on underneath too I think. He was dressed like he lived outside. I just thought it was strange...then he came into ------'s used the restroom and went back outside. Later on, however, Derek and I were leaving and found out he was advertising outside with a sign in his hand for a furniture store. His outfit made more sense at that point.

3) 2 people that worked at ------'s were kind of strange. A girl that worked there walked so straight and upright, like she was a robot and another guy looked so creepy and strange, sounds mean, but you just had to see how he looked at me.

4) A little old lady came into --------'s, went to the bathroom, came out and looked like she was going to order something only to leave instead. She then picked up too very shiny coins off the sidewalk outside, got into her really nicely kept old car, and left. Strange. the coins didn't look normal. I can't explain it. I thought they might be dimes but they looked too silvery, I'm not making sense am I? lol

5) A lady stared at Derek while we were in the parking lot, before we left our cars for the mall entrance. The person driving her/their truck turned into the same parking lot row again to look at our car for some reason as we were walking into the mall. Derek brought this to my attention when we were in the mall only a few yards, so I decided we should go look at the car, just in case. Weird again.

6) Did I mention a photographer from the Tribune left the Morristown Bible Bookstore right when we arrived. Evidently, he was in there to take a pic of Gaylen. I had just missed my chance to get a pic of me and her in the paper. So weird day, but a good day anyway. I've never had such a weird day that was also such a good one. Can't explain it.

End of story. lol"

Hope you enjoyed that note. Hahaha, made for a quick and easy blog post. LOL

You can submit art by visiting this link.

Thanks, everyone!
P.S. Sandee: We are finally going to be able to show off your designs! If you want us to just use the images we have, don't worry about letting us know, but if you have newer ones you'd rather us use instead, leave me a comment on my blog.

| Our sample ad that exists on our temporary Paper Aquarium Page.|
I have created a temporary Paper Aquarium Magazine page. It's links do not work, and the photos are not up yet. This is sort of a place where we can experiment with CSS and HTML. I am trying to learn CSS. I have learned the basics of HTML years ago, and I sort of had to brush up on them. I feel like I am really picking up CSS now that I'm 22, and not like 17. You are supposed to learn better when you are younger, but maybe it depends on what you are trying to learn. Maybe it was just too huge for me to digest back then...?

You can find the temporary Paper Aquarium Magazine site here.

Enjoy.

Just a bit of an update:
Derek and I are currently designing the Paper Aquarium website. We hope to launch it within one year. I'm currently working on illustrations for a childrens' book and the sketchbook project, so we will have to further the start date for the website. However, we will be designing, researching, exploring, and building content and articles for the magazine right now.

So you can send content our way via this blog, or our email paperaquarium@yahoo.com

Visit paperaquarium.blogspot.com for updates. :]

I am working on the sketchbook project, which is AMAZING! However, I cannot come up with a steady stable sustainable savory satisfactory sensational solid strong sketchbook.

Help me!!

I need to do cool stuff. I have been doing so many digital things lately, and I can't (for some reason) think of anything to do traditionally (on paper).....

Please, help. I need to come up with something that already has to do with my drawings and my theme...

My theme is: "If you lived here..."

& the drawings I already have drawn:
the cover (with the theme as the title + flowers + an object find)
Girl // woman sketches
A mermaid...

What should I do. I want to work with watercolor, which I think I will do right now. :] BUT HELP me think of stuff...pretty please.

So sorry I haven't posted anything lately! It's been so long. I've been so busy with school, work, planning this wedding, and figuring out where we will be living. It's been fun, though. The wedding is May 29th. It's coming up quick! We still have so much to prepare. I have packed eight boxes so far. I still have a LOT of stuff to pack. I hope to sell some things in Lori's yard sale. (Lori is Derek's mom.) I'm not quite sure how much of my stuff we will really have room for at the apartment we will be getting, seeing as we haven't chosen one yet. But it is so fun to look at apartments. Derek loves it, too. We are trying to calculate our bills, expenses, and savings for each month after we are married. We hope to save quite a bit each month toward a down payment on a house or something. So we have to be wise when it comes to deciding which apartment to choose.

Sorry for the hiatus. I might not blog for a while again, so sorry if I take forever to write you again, readers. I wish I had more time. :) Thanks for keeping up with my blog and thanks so much for having faith in me even though I haven't blogged in weeks. I missed doing this. I could type a lot more, but it's about 11:35 p.m. and I'm tired. So goodnight, readers. Over and out.
