Lisa Freitag

I have learned that you get out of life what you put in.  You must be willing to stand for what you believe in despite conflict, while tempering it with empathy and respect for others.

I have learned that nothing changes over night.  Change takes years of commitment, passion, discipline, and tenacity to achieve.

I have learned that anything worth doing is hard.  If there is no sacrifice, there is no reward.

I have learned that we are accountable only to ourselves.  No one else can make us succeed or fail, we must make the choices and live according to the results of our choices.  We must take responsibility for our actions or inactions and learn from our personal histories.

I have learned that we allow others to influence us.  It is our responsibility to chose who influences us and to maintain our personal power.  Giving up our power is not an acceptable excuse for not succeeding or for apathy.  We have control, and we chose to give it up, just as we chose to utilize it.
