Here’s an entire post dedicated to some of the foods I had while back in Penang.
Got to try this new place called Miam Miam that serves French-Japanese fusion at Gurney Paragon. They don’t offer much choices but I had their pasta pescatore and it was quite good.
With my pretty dates at Miam Miam.
Made a return trip to House of Udang Galah with the family. This time we tried their ala carte and they’re just as good! Udang is as fresh as ever. An expensive dinner but definitely worth it.
Top left is the Drunken Style soup that we ordered both times here because it is really good!
Went to New World Park with Lynn to get some ~local food~ but ended up only eating cendol and yam cake ‘cos we were both not hungry hahah. After that, we walked over to Si Tigun to have coffee. I forgot to take pics of the place whoops, but the coffee was awezummmm.
My fave yam cake coupled with cendol! Yums.
Had 3 cups of green tea in a day on Saturday. Went to Sushi Zanmai for lunch with my babes Ediie and Ching and then drinks at Gongcha where I had my usual passion fruit green tea. Then, had dinner at Aji Noren at Prima Tanjung which is apparently the best place in Penang for Japanese food. I’d never been there before but it certainly was good! Price is really reasonable too.
Camwhoring whilst in the midst of rotting at Gongcha.
Foods at Aji Noren. Ordered 4 sets for 5 people. (Y)
Finally went to Penang Hill with KEV after wanting to do so for like, 2 years. I can’t remember the last time I was there because it was probably when I was still an infant lolz. Had dinner at David Brown’s and it was pricey and unsatisfactory. Service is good but other than that, the food was bland and cold.
Our really expensive dinner.
KEV and our crazy adventures. Tbc the next time I come back!
And no trip back to Penang is complete without a visit to the school’s canteen! Managed to catch up with the lot over our favourite plate of char koay teow in good ol’ CGL.
Only in CGL. 8D
Then finally got to go to Tang Steamboat after craving for their ma lat soup for like, ever, with Lynn and Daniel.
After steamboat full die until cannot move omg.
Not forgetting all the home-cooked food of course. Here we have my aunt’s custom-made bak chang with no bak (aka meat)! :)
Specially made for me!
And my mum’s speciality – desserts!
Mum’s jellies and hot desserts omnomnom.
Can’t believe sem break is already over wahhhh. Welp, back to college and getting back in shape ahah. Farewell Penang, ’til we meet again.
