I have been playing around with this style for a while now and I’m thinking i definitely need to actually create this with inks or watercolours soon, bringing in the details in fine liner. Pretty excited.!

Watch these guys. They’re about to explode.
I recently worked with Claudio Kirac via the Art-Work Agency on a logo and single cover for these guys. Claudio was responsible for the photography and I worked on the design components. We will be completing their EP cover in the coming weeks.

Many Masks – Laura Strange for IncStamp Imbalance Exhibition
Flatbed printing on plywood, 600x900mm
FOR SALE: $245.00
Please email hello@laurastrange.com
Many Masks draws on the notion that we are born neither good or evil, but have the capacity to be both. The piece suggests that we can make the conscious choice to pursue one direction over the other – we have control over which mask we choose to wear.
This piece was created for the IncStamp Imbalance exhibition which featured as part of the Sprinkl Creative Networking event in Brisbane’s New Farm last night (26.04.12).
The night was a huge success with over 120 people attending the ticketed event to talk art, eat delicious food, watch the captivating live design-off, muck-around in the photo booth. I will post some photos from the event shortly.
Credit for photography of my work goes to the amazing Claudio Kirac, along with all the other photography for the online exhibition which is happening now on the IncStamp website.
A massive thank you to all involved – the IncStamp committee for their hard work, Lisa and Wick from Salt House/Sprink for having us involved in the event, my other creative friends who came to show their support for the show, my family & of course Claudio for his encouragement always.
Some more shots of my creations from the Scribbl “What’s Your Poison” event over the weekend. This piece is entitled Rainbow Kisses and is inspired by my addiction to all things sugar and is officially my first ever skate deck!
Original digital illustration, digitally printed sticker on matt black board.
I recently participated in an event in Brisbane called Sribbl. The theme was “What’s your poison” and around 30 artists got together to paint, draw, glue, stick and create their poison on different objects from canvasses, boards, munnys, fridges, tables and cabinets.
At the end of the day Claudio and myself created some boards for charity auction, which were not themed in the “What’s your poison theme” but more of just a random bit of creativity.
Above you see Galaxy by me (purple board), which is aerosol and paste ups. Also shown is Claudio Kirac’s Pinkeye, pure aerosol.
This was my second attempt ever at spray painting so I am getting pretty excited.
Photos of actual Poison inspired works to come soon.
Best thing to do is just keep posting & shooting! And I also loved the images. Little glimpses of peoples lives have always been so interesting. Thanks again ;)
HAVE A GLORIOUS FRIDAY!
