Summary
Based in Montclair, Laura Cuevas is a native of Brooklyn, NY. She received her B.A. degree from Hunter College, City University and her M.A. in Art Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Cuevas has exhibited her work at the Paul Robeson Gallery, Rutgers at Newark; the Teresa Maloney Gallery, College of Saint Elizabeth, Morristown; The Pen & Brush Gallery, NYC; The Cradle Project, Albuquerque, NM, among many others.
The artist has been awarded the Geraldine R. Dodge Art Initiative Grant and has been awarded artists’ residencies at the Provincetown Art Centre and the Vermont Studio Center, as well as receiving a grant from The National Gallery in Washington, DC, for “The Narrative Self.”
