Student and Contributing Writer at School of Russian and Asian Studies
Media Production | Russian Federation, RU
Radio and digital journalist experienced in covering news, features and arts. Has covered California politicians, celebrity chefs, fiber artists, pro-choice Republicans and moms getting tattooed for the very first time.
Covering arts and studying Russian has taken me all over the States and now (finally) Russia. Currently a writer on modern and classical visual art for artinrussia.org, an educational service of The School of Russian and Asian Studies. I've also worked with the Arts Desk at National Public Radio and at NPR member stations in California and Missouri.
Originally from Fresno, California, I'm a recent graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a degree in Russian language & literature with additional coursework in art and political science in an attempt to be really, really well-rounded in a way that doesn't require taking any more math. I've also studied Russian at Indiana University Bloomington's Summer Workshop in Slavic and Eastern European Languages and at Saint Petersburg State University in St. Petersburg, Russia.
