There is nothing you can really do or say,
when a person has you in a certain way.
Things change drastically when your wall is finally down
finally feeling like a princess but with a bigger crown.
Yeah, keep that confidence up think you are still strong,
if you think it’s easy to end it all so easily you’re wrong.
It’s so easy to get caught up and fall for someone,
so much harder to actually stop the games and run.
You’re mind blowing and know how to work your magic,
you can’t make up your mind and darling it’s so tragic.
Every song is you, oh baby it’s the perfect melody
deep down you are amazing…as of now you’re nothing but a tragedy.
People. Like really.. how freakin ridiculous can you get? And how rude can you be too? You’re such a freakin user and I don’t get why. For all the things you do, and all the things you say you’re gonna have to answer to the big guy. It’s not cool to take advantage of people for your pleasure. I know all people do that, but don’t lead them on to the point where they think you want the same as them. Maybe I’m holding a grudge, which I never do or maybe I’m just trying to force myself to completely drop you. Excuse my French but fuck this shit and fuck you. You’re such an asshole and you’re not getting the privilege of my true self anymore. You’re gonna realize you messed up, and what you’re missing out on! And if you ever try to get “me” again you will be having to bust ass…. you brought down my wall and funny thing is you made me put it back up again and more than ever. Jackass.
The main thing people tend to forget is in order to stay focused on your mission is you gotta block out all the bullshit. I mean its like really easy to achieve a dream if you stay focused and sacrifice a little bit. u know the bigger the dream the harder u might have to grind for it but u just gotta have extreme patience.
Well I guess there is always time for something new! Not really sure what you are supposed to do on this thing, I guess it’s like a diary? Lol. I’ll try it out!

The past couple of posts have been great for social media enthusiasts that are chained to their smartphones on a secondly basis. But what are these cats doing when they are at work? Or at home? Well I came to realize that a majority of social media gurus do work from home and are rarely in a traditional corporate office. So what do you use on the couch gurus? My top tabs open? From left to right, they are: Gmail, Outlook (work email), Google Docs, Google Calendar, Facebook and then whatever has my attention at the moment, ie Huffington Post, Daily Mail and maybe some Mashable.
Software that's open? Obviously Google Chrome with all of the necessary extensions (Pinterest, Add This, Delicious) and my bookmark bar is chock full of goodies: Twitter, Notes, Linkedin, Posterous, Tumblr, Pinterest, Delicious, Flickr, Wordpress, YouTube, Vimeo, Hulu, Netflix, Grooveshark, Pandora, The Weather Channel - which has been my guiding light through the past two days - Eventbrite and Craigslist.
Additional software includes, GIMP, Powerpoint, Tweetdeck and most importantly... Skype.
What does your desktop look like right now? Feel free to include screen captures in the comments section, just make sure you don't leave your desktop dirty!
Ugh. Anyone else dreading Super Bowl 45 in Dallas? Bad traffic, rude Yankees and drunk old men. On top of that, it's my birthday celebration weekend! How can I keep the Super Bowl from ruining my weekend and my birthday? Social media, duh.
Foursquare: Use it the other way around. Don't go to trending places and don't go anywhere near a crowd of 20 or more. The badge you may receive is not worth the hectic struggle for a drink at an overpriced bar.
Twitter: Help your followers out by letting them know your plans in advance. (Victor Tango's on Saturday night for my birthday ya'll!) Be sure to take advantage of the high tweet traffic time by promoting things that are near and dear to you without giving away your location. For example, the Texas Young Professionals happy hour on Feb. 10.
Facebook: Make sure you're searchable! In case of the rare chance you meet a ten of a guy and he needs to recon you with just your school, name and city. I'm ready, are you?
Started this post and then realized I've been sitting on my iPhone for the past fifteen minutes which is a great sign that I'm not totally chained to it for sanity purposes. Top five apps for social media pros that are nice-to-haves...
1. Flickr
Not only does it help in a pinch (chronicling a car accident for your new attorney), it's also a simple way to get high resolution versions of your favorite photos (think your dog's Christmas portrait) as your iPhone background ASAP. Thank Steve Jobs for the screenshot capabilities.
2. Tumblr
This lets me upload my favorite recipes, photos or videos in one place. Heart my Tumblr.
3. Pandora
The long road trips wouldn't be the same without Pandora. Hell, short road trips require Pandora sometime. The trick to Pandora is creating an account so that it saves your favorite stations which means less one-handed haggling on 635.
4. Wordpress
Fastest way to approve comments on your Wordpress blog without utilizing Safari. I love comments and therefore I love the Wordpress app.
5. ShakeItPhoto
I've seen a lot of colleagues falling head over heels for Instagram or Hipstamatic, but this was the original. Perfect width for Tumblr, Wordpress or Flickr.
This must-have's list is short and sweet. Why? Because I am relegated to my 14 year old sister's hand me down iPhone 3G and must use it until upgrade time (March). Besides being molasses slow, I've only downloaded the apps I need to survive until March. My top four?1. Facebook
The original app. Takes it sacred place in my permanent banner in place of Safari.2. Twitter
Again, the original. Tweetdeck is too slow and doesn't have a URL shortener for images. Echofon was the slowest.3. Eventbrite
Helps in a pinch at TYP Dallas events and I can look up contact information for people I just met and make a note to contact them ASAP.4. Linkedin
I wish there was an approve all contacts default, but in the meantime, the app is the fastest way to access Linkedin on the go.Sidenote: Foursquare is not in my top four right now at all. It crashes every time I use it. Takes a century to even load and three centuries to pull up where I actually am... Foursquare, fix it. Otherwise, it would be in my top four. Anyone else have a list of must-have apps? Looking back, mine seems to be pretty simple, but that's bare bones ya'll.
The must-have for any comprehensive social media campaign? Video. Let’s talk about how to get your audience to take notice.
We have a few hot tips for you when you decide to undertake the seemingly daunting task of producing video content that will blow your boss out of the water, get your customers rolling on the floor laughing or sell millions of dollars worth of product.1. Instructional
Have we said enough? Alright, we’ll admit, this does have a quotient of viral attached to it, but we think instructional videos of your product (plus a dash of fun) could really take your social media campaign to the next level. Spread the video via YouTube, Facebook and Twitter to your current fans. But, by tagging the video with “how to” or “what is” tags, you can grab an audience actively seeking information regarding your product. Shake Weight examples, “What is a Shake Weight?” “How do I tone my arms?” You may think - well, I market knives - creating an instructional video for a knife just seems silly… but, no! Teach your customers the expert way to cut carrots, which knife is best for bread and how to properly call 911 after cutting a finger off… I kid! In all seriousness, your instructional videos can range from educational to hilarious. Just make sure your video is in line with your company’s brand. 2. Viral The Old Spice viral videos made a huge splash in 2010. They hired an actor, spent eight hours in a studio and responded in live time to some of Twitter’s most notable social media experts, including Kevin Rose and Aubrey Sabala. How can a mom and pop shop produce something similar? Try Ustream or Livestream in order to re-create the live nature. Oh and remember, having fun with the video is the most important aspect to allowing it to go viral. Wait! Last tip… create a hashtag to accompany your hot viral video so you can watch the grass fire of awesomeness spread. 3. InterviewsNeed to present yourself in a little more professional light? Interviews with notables or subject matter experts in your industry will boost your credibility. Fans will want to know the latest trends, the hottest gossip and the best way to use your product. Bring in an expert. They are usually more than eager to give their two cents.
Side Note: Best tactics in tagging your videos? More tags may be too many. Remember your business objectives, target audience and search engine optimization knowledge. I usually put myself in another shoes… What would my Mamaw search on AOL to find the latest interview with George W. Bush? “Bush interview” probably tops the list, so tag accordingly. However, looking to tag a viral video? Have fun! My brother recently tagged me in a not so flattering Nerf gun incident on YouTube with “funny cats.” Let’s just say his ploy has worked and the video has 100+ views with no funny cat involvement.
