    iBlog 6 this Apr. 16 and 17, 2010

For the 6th time since it was organized, the iBlog Summit will once again be held this year. The first time I attended this summit was last year, together with my fellow Cebu bloggers. I had also the rare opportunity in meeting several fellow bloggers during the event.

The iBlog 6 will be this April 16 and 17, 2010 at the Malcolm Theater, UP College of Law, UP Diliman, from 8 am to 5 pm.

This year's summit will be a different one because it will be for two days. The first day, April 16, is targeted for businesses and entrepreneurs wanting to understand how to tap blogs as a medium to promote their products and services. On the other hand, the second day, April 17, is meant to everyone interested about blogging.

Click here to register for the event. Yes, it's free!

CBS @ 2: The Cebu Bloggers Society 2nd Anniversary Celebration

In two years, blogging in Cebu has ripened from just being a mere online diary to something that takes an active role in civic and social awareness.

One of the factors that contributed to this positive development in the blogging scene in Cebu is the creation of a local blogging community.

The Cebu Bloggers Society was founded on February 14, 2008, with the main goal of uniting Cebu-based bloggers into a well-bonded community. And indeed, after its creation, individuals with diverse backgrounds but with a common interest, which is to promote Cebu and advocate blogging as a key tool for progress, converged together to establish Cebu’s first and largest blogging community.

The Cebu Bloggers Society has really grown and evolved quite significantly. From its humble beginnings, the group presently has at least 80 members and still counting. And now, the group is already anticipating its 2nd founding anniversary! Dubbed as "CBS @ 2: The Cebu Bloggers Society 2nd Anniversary Celebration", the event is envisioned to further strengthen the bond of friendship and camaraderie within the blogging community.

The anniversary celebration will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010, 5-9PM, at SM City Cebu Foodcourt – SM Storyland Celebration Hall.

This big and important event won’t be possible without the help and assistance of the following:

    and

Meanwhile, one of the highlights of the celebration is a muse and escort competition. The Cebu Bloggers Society has been divided into 4 groups and we are proud to present the beautiful and charming representatives from each team:

    FIREFOX – Orange team

INTERNET EXPLORER – Blue team (No photos yet)

How to vote in the 2010 Philippine automated elections

With the use of the Precint Count Optical Scanner (PCOS), the upcoming 2010 Philippine elections would be far more different than the previous elections. Afraid of the new technology? You need not to be a techie to learn about it. It's just so simple.

With the PCOS demo and forum organized by PoliticalArena.Com together with the COMELEC and Smartmatic for the members of the Cebu Bloggers Society, we were informed on how the voting process will be in the upcoming elections. What's automated is not the voting; it's the counting, physical transmission and canvassing that will be automated.

Here are important points that you should know:
    • Prepare a 'kodigo' of your candidates - This has been a note since the previous elections, but having a 'kodigo' or list of your candidates in a piece of paper would expedite your voting time as you would only refer to the name of your candidate, instead of searching throughout the ballot which takes a lot of time.
    • Shade and make it more than 50% - When you want to vote for a candidate, shade the oval beside the candidate's name. Remember to shade the oval, not check, not X. And be sure that more than 50% of the oval is shaded, or else, the machine will not recognize it and your vote will not be counted.
    • OK to under-vote but don't over-vote - This is very important. Read the instructions always. If the position that you will be voting only requires 1 candidate to be voted upon, vote only 1, period. For the senators, only 12 is required. But if you only like to vote for 3 candidates, that's OK as long as you won't vote for 13 candidates.
    • Marking pens to be provided by COMELEC - No need to bring a ballpen or pencil. COMELEC will already be proving marking pens to be used for your ballot. Don't forget to return it to the BEI.

You can watch the TVC below about the automated elections:

45 random thoughts on my Sinulog 2010 experience

Whew! I was able to experience once again the Philippine's grandest festival, Sinulog, now on its 30th year. As a Cebuano, it's something that I'm proud of. The strong faith combined the joyful atmosphere of the people, despite the tug-of-war of the weather didn't stop them from participating in the festival. Instead of blogging detail-by-detail on what I experienced yesterday, I'm listing my random thoughts on this. Short and simple.

Photo courtesy of Alvin Asayas Photography
    1. Complete backpack with water, cap, extra shirt and towel (Dora the Explorer is far off better than me doing this one).
    2. Jeepney shortage and if there's one, it's full.
    3. Disembarked from the jeepney in Gaisano Capital South and walked through E Mall.
    4. Got super stuck walking just from ACT Mall to DBP.
    5. When you get stuck in the crowd, you just need to go with the flow or else.
    6. Didn't care of who touched my back in the crowd.
    7. My shoes got stepped on several times in the crowd.
    8. Common shoutout during crowded moments "Hinay lang kay nay bata (Just slow down because there's a child)."
    9. The cordon was quite lax but still, I was able to ask permission to cross the street.
    10. Kept on holding my pocket to be sure that no one other than me can hold it.
    11. Some people are just insensitive in the crowd even if it goes into a stampede.
    12. The crowd flow gets into a halt when they hear or see something making you stand in the very super too much compressed situation for a lot of time.
    13. Fans and caps/visors are just a commodity during events like this.
    14. Lovebirds almost all around in the area.
    15. The weather was quite tricky as early morning was wet, morning to early afternoon was hot, late afternoon was wet again and evening was stable.
    16. The roads were just full of people and of garbage too.
    17. Some yellow railings went down.
    18. There are those idiot ice cream-selling people with a familiar music positioning on the center of the road and insensitive to the flow of the crowd and transportation.
    19. Drinking people on the streets plus dancing people too.
    20. The floats were just amazing hoping that every year, it gets better.
    21. Met with my Cebu Bloggers Society pipz in Acha Pizzeria for the 88DB.Com booth.
    22. Saw Gabriela Rep. Liza Maza walking like an ordinary citizen.
    23. Saw also Will Devaughn with Byron Garcia.
    24. CIT friends Kim, Rahima, Artemio, Joshua, Winston & Israel were there.
    25. Sheesh! Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia has a lot of energy in dancing even if it rains.
    26. Heard a person in the crowd that Glenn Soco looks like Paul Jake of PBB Double Up.
    27. My shoes gets dirty again, Part II.
    28. Wow! Robinsons is still on aircon but it feels like I'm inside the oven and the people inside are as usual sitting on the corners.
    29. Emergency teams goes back and forth and having a hard time appealing to the crowd to disperse to give way for the patient.
    30. Food and water prices dramatically went down and sellers are even persuading to the max the customers.
    31. Barbecue grills almost all in the corners and also food stands.
    32. Lot of foreigners too!
    33. People can't stop camwhoring but you just can't blame it.
    34. Braved the rain by walking from Gorordo Avenue to Fuente Osmeña.
    35. Woot! I was surprised to see Cosplay pipz during the Sinulog.
    36. Sinulog music was very prevalent during that day.
    37. Reminisced the moment when I was also part of the Sinulog dancing participants who danced through the long route for the crowd and in the Cebu City Sports Complex (I can never forget that experience).
    38. Asked myself on the possibility of a bomb threat would happened, even if it was just a joke.
    39. Can't help but mix with the crowd when there's a celebrity.
    40. Fuente Osmeña was full of people camping, eating and just sitting around.
    41. Met with my high school buddies Judy Alden, Jul Danreb, Pamela, James Dien, Gioann, Pamela, Micah, Ivy Ross, Angelica and Jessiel to watch the late but worth it Ayala Center Cebu fireworks display.
    42. Saw my college pipz Jandale, Xiao Xiao, Chang, Amabelle, Juli Flor, Loila Lyn, Rene Jay, Lanilen, John Henry and Jellyve.
    43. My knees and my feet were in the state of deterioration after walking several kilometers and somewhat doing our own version of the death march.
    44. Got home around 1 AM.
    45. Told myself to attend Sinulog 2011 too.

Mar Roxas - Bayan bago ang sarili

My idol, my best friend, my Vice President and my future President. You know this person. The sacrifice that he made can't be ignored. He puts the country before self. He is Mar Roxas.

As he released his latest TV Ad, I just can't help but be proud of him, as I have been since I started blogging in support for him since July 29, 2007. Yes, the Padyak TV Ad might have earned him the flak, but this one resonates the essence on who Mar Roxas is. I hope to see more Mar Roxas TV Ads like this.

I definitely voting for him and Noynoy Aquino this 2010 (not those tandem that are a combination of the "as if" poor and political butterfly or those who claim to be the transformers or those who are with a criminal or those who are just more of the same). Probably, 2010 is not for Mar Roxas and the one above has greater plans for him. Hopefully, that's 2016, after the Noynoy Aquino Presidency.

Below is the Mar Roxas' latest TV Ad entitled "Sacrifice", unscripted, straight to the point, no jingles. Share it to your friends! Oras Na! Noynoy-Mar Na!

    Where I'm from, everyone's a hero

This is the famous quote of Mark Gosingtian in his Tumblr page and has been a viral testament to each and every Filipino. Indeed, it resonates in us. As Juan Country honors the hero within the Filipino race, I myself want to share to you on how I plan to become a hero for my country, our country, in 2010.

    1. Vote for the right stewards of this country and protect that vote - This year, after 9 years of suffering from a corrupt, both in money and moral, government, we are once again given the golden opportunity to choose the leaders that best deserves to steer this country on where it should be. Finally, after a long wait, I am already a registered voter and I'm doing not just my right to vote, but my obligation for a better Philippines. Voting will not be enough though. We need to protect it. No matter who wins, as long as we know that all those votes are valid and genuine, it's the essence of democracy. Yes, I am the start but if other will not do their part, that start would be meaningless. My vote, your vote and our votes must be counted.

    2. Dispose my garbage properly - I am a cluttered and disorganized person. I have already saw its effects on me and I intend to put an end to it. By starting with myself on disposing my garbage properly, recycle those that can still be used and proper segregation, I can be able to help others with proper garbage disposal. It's something that we must do, or else, I will haunt us back. Remember the floods?

    3. Share my knowledge to others - This year, I will continue to share my knowledge not only to my friends, but also to others who want to be informed. By sharing what I have learned, I can be able to spread it around others who will in turn spread it on others too, thus creating a ripple effect.
Do you also want to become a hero this 2010? Join Juan Country's Be a Hero in 2010 Contest (Win Free Shirts!) and share your thoughts on how you can become a hero this 2010.

What's the most fastest wireless broadband in the Philippines?

I don't have any wireless broadband but I have been able to use 3 of the leading products from my friends. What lets them decide to purchase one will be dependent on its speed.

I have been curious, with these advertisements coming out in different media outlets, on who has the edge among the leading products. NESIC Philippines, Inc., a Telecommunications System Integrator established in the Philippines on April 10,1991 that provides full turnkey engineering services for both public and private business networks, covering telecommunications infrastructure and information management network systems, did a speed test on the leading products. Proofs of their unbiased reputation are these tests that they have done before.

For Cebu, they made a speed test in Ayala Center between Globe Tattoo and Smart Bro.

    GLOBE TATTOO

    SMART BRO

Photos courtesy of NESIC Philippines, Inc.

Here's the Nesic Philippines wireless broadband speedtest for your reference.

Throughput is the average rate of successful message delivery over a communication channel.

The Local FTP Download test used a 12MB file, which is about the size of three or four 3-minute MP3s with a bit rate of 128kbps. The International Download file size from download.com is 6MB, which is about the size of a really packed PowerPoint presentation or two MP3 files.

The NESIC Philippines speed test result shows that NO wireless broadband carrier can claim leadership over being the fastest as speed and quality of surfing experience. It will always depend on several factors that will affect its connectivity. One product can give the best experience in one area, but a worst one in another area.

If you're using Globe Tattoo, here are tips on how to use it effectively.

Political Arena: The political information hub of Filipino voters

Now, here's a political site that best complements me, the political blogger. A few weeks after it was launched, I already joined its community of Filipino voters who want to be informed about the candidates in 2010 that's unbiased and sides no one. I'm talking about Politicalarena.com, the Philippines’ first socio-political networking site that gives voter education online.

It is on high gear to educate first-time voters and encourage participation in the 2010 national elections. With its partnership with the COMELEC, PPCRV and Youth Vote Philippines, it promotes voters’ education through special online features. Nowadays, social networking has become an important part of most Filipinos and this site has it to better know on who should have your vote in the upcoming elections. It's taking voter education to a higher level.

I am a member of the site since June 17, 2009. I was able to ask 2 questions which are: "Are you open to the proposal of lowering the voting age from 18 years old to 16 years old? Why or why not?" and "Are you open to reforming, abolishing or maintaining the status quo of the Sangguniang Kabataan?" but still, no answers from the candidates in relation to these political issues. I want to know their positions on these matters too being a student leader and a part of the youth sector. On lowering the voting age from 18 to 16, I agree a study must be done before this must be implemented. After all, a 16 year-old Filipino nowadays are becoming more aware of the political issues around them. On the Sangguniang Kabataan, I must confess that I'm in favor of having it abolished and instead provide youth representatives in every City and Town councils to represent the youth. But I'm still open to any reforms of this institution which it badly needs and not necessarily abolishing it. If there are any ideas about it, I would be glad to hear those.

I am also proud of showing my support to Noynoy Aquino for President and Mar Roxas for Vice President in my account.

I have also posted a short video blog on the site about Mar Roxas' bloggers meet-up last June 2009.

The site also provides a political forum for users to interact with other users and talk about the current issues, the candidates and suggestions on how we can make the Philippines a better nation. With this site, Filipino voters will be able to be informed unlike the past elections where voters are just voting because of their popularity and not the platform.

Politicalarena.com operates under the network of 88DB.com, the Philippines’ first rich media service portal.

    Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo

Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. That's something that we wouldn't like to hear. But the seeds have already been planted as she filed her certificate of candidacy at the Commission on Elections office in San Fernando City, Pampanga.

Given her statement that she's running for a congressional seat in the 2nd district of Pampanga because she could not completely step down from "public service," makes me wonder what's in her mind. The numerous sorties that she has done in Pampanga has already given her a good start.

I must agree that running for any position below the Presidency is allowed because there's no such thing that prohibits it. In short, it is LEGAL.

But as what happened today, it has just shown the hunger for power of Mrs. Arroyo. She has learned to love it and crave more of it. It's for her political survival after all.

It is IMMORAL, INDECENT and an INSULT to the Office of the President. The political sky has a limit and it is the Presidency. Most of the politicians who start their political career dream of becoming a President someday and for Mrs. Arroyo, she sees no limit. She's willing to go down and continue to hold that ladder thus denying others of the opportunity for public service which is stipulated in our Constitution.

She has been in hallucination for power. What a shame to the world!

The only way to prevent a Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo from becoming into a reality is defeating her. It might be a hard one but I know we can do it.

Enough is enough Gloria! The 9 years under your watch has been a nightmare and we won't allow to let Pampanga suffer from your hunger for power.

Maguindanao Massacre: Politics shouldn't be like this

What happened in Maguindanao is very unfortunate, unacceptable, uncalled for and should be condemned. Why should politics be like this? Why can't political warlordism and private armies be eliminated?

The massacre that happened in Maguindanao, now infamously known as the Maguindanao Massacre, has now placed the Philippines in an awkward situation after being spotlighted by the success of People's Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao and 2009 CNN Hero Efren Peñaflorida. The brutal massacre that happened has already trumped that two historic achievements. Instead, we made another mark by overtaking Iraq, Somalia and Pakistan in terms of the number of journalists killed for the year 2009.

Why should politics be like this when we can just all proceed with the democratic process of election and listen to the voice of the people on who they want to lead their constituency, instead of purging almost everyone, even those in the media who were only there to report the news as it happens. Instead, these journalists, who are the ones who make headlines, became the headlines.

Why should politics be like this when we share the common purpose of serving our constituents and the Maguindanao Massacre is a very good example of a self-serving agenda.

In just one day, numerous journalists were killed brutally and buried in deep soil, is a hard thing to imagine. Never in my life did I ever thought about that it would happen. Even those who were not in the convoy and just happened to be the next car after it to have a medical check-up in the city were murdered.

What happened on November 23, 2009 will forever be a mark on our history, a sad history. The Maguindanao Massacre must not happen again.

Whoever did this, whether it is the Ampatuan clan or not, would surely go to a place where everyone wouldn't want to be, if and only if equality would rule over personal connections.

Why politics should be like this? I hope that the Maguindanao Massacre would awaken the Filipino citizenry that elections should not be won by killing your opponents but only through a democratic process where the voters vote without fear of abduction, harassment or even death.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the victims. May those who perished in this gruesome massacre rest in peace and have justice served.

A student blogger in Mar and Korina's wedding

When I was contacted by Bon Moya, one of Senator Mar Roxas’ staff, last Tuesday and asked for my home address, I was wondering why. Then, I came to realize that Senator Roxas and Korina Sanchez' wedding will be by October 27 and probably, I am in the list of the invited guests.

I knew it! I got the invitation last October 22, together with my PIN from Google Adsense.

I flew by plane to Manila in the morning and arrived around 11 AM. I met surprisingly UC President and fellow NoyMar supporter Augusto Go in the airport. I asked him what he is doing in Manila and ended up knowing that we were on the same itinerary too: attending the Mar-Korina wedding. I went straight to Santo Domingo Church in Quezon City where the wedding will be held. It was quite traffic though I was able to reach the church past noon. The security was strict, and I applaud them for that, although it was quite hassle for me. When I arrived in the church, I was confused on what to do. There was still a mass going on and the people I knew were still not yet there. So, I kept roaming around the church and met some ordinary people who want to witness the wedding in the projector outside the church.

One of my friends, Atty. Rissa Ofilada, called me and asked where I was. She treated me for lunch as we keep waiting for 3 PM. We had to go to the left entrance dedicated for the guests and searched for our names from the list. I only RSVP the day before the wedding that’s why my name wasn’t included. Thanks to a Senate staffer who knew me and got me a seat in the church’s pew. After that, we proceeded to the church. I was holding a yellow card for pews somewhere in the middle row of the church. Though, we only notice after the wedding, that we were seated on the red card pews where local government officials were also seated because Atty. Eugene Kaw and Reg Unson of Senator Mar Roxas’ staff were there. Beside us was Rizal Governor Jun Ynares, his wife and the women reporters of GMA 7 and UNTV. In front of us was Palawan Governor Joel Reyes.

A lot of who’s who in the world of politics, showbiz and news were there. I can’t keep turning my head to anywhere it leads because there’s just too much of them. I was able to spot from Cebu, Congressman Tony Cuenco, Cebu City Mayor Tommy Osmeña and his wife Margot, Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes to name a few. ABS-CBN people were also there with Director Johnny Manahan leading the coverage of the event.

Beside the church garden, I was able to meet some of the people that will be gracing the wedding and also, the man of that hour, Mar Roxas. I approached him after he was talking with Noynoy Aquino. I told him, “Thanks for the invitation Senator! Wishing you all the best in your wedding.” He replied, “Thank you for being here too. I appreciate it.” Senator Mar and I seldom talk personally when I can meet him, but this one was quite memorable because it was a countdown to his bachelor days. A few hours from that moment, he’ll be joining his entire life with Korina.

The wedding was scheduled to start at 3 PM, but because Korina still visited the grave of her parents, it started at 4 PM. When it finally started, the mood was like in a movie. Everyone was thrilled on what will be happening, like it was their first time to see a wedding. When the doors opened and Korina made the entrance, everybody applauded her and Mar was quite teary-eyed. He might be thinking that finally, the woman of her dreams will be his forever.

It was quite a different wedding but still, it remained solemn. As the ceremonies went by, I can’t help but lament on the moments that I will be missing because I wasn’t able to bring a digicam. But thanks to Atty. Ofilada, she was able to get me some pictures during the wedding.

After the wedding, everyone stood up and gave their biggest applause for the new husband and wife, Mar and Korina. I also took the opportunity to meet some people whom I only get in touch with Facebook like LP bigwigs Butch Abad and Chito Gascon, fellow Mar supporter John Javier, blogger Manuel Quezon III, ABS-CBN reporters Ina Reformina and Gretchen Malalad, and others.

Indeed, this was the wedding of the year. I’m proud to be attending the event as a student of Cebu Institute of Technology, as a blogger and as a supporter. Only a few can have this chance to attend a wedding of the year, and I was able to make it.

To Mar and Korina, my best wishes to you!

Hindi Ka Nag-iisa TV Ad of Noynoy Aquino

I have nothing to say but fantastic to Senator Noynoy Aquino's new TV Ad. Sung by Regine Velasquez and composed by Ogie Alcasid, the song "Hindi Ka Nag-iisa" resonates the theme of Aquino's campaign. Together with the star-studded cast of the TV ad and the ordinary Filipinos, below is the complete video of the TV ad. Spread the word about it!

Using Globe Tattoo Broadband more effectively

I don't have a laptop. But I was able to use Globe Tattoo Broadband from my friend on his laptop. This internet-on-the-go tool, which makes us of a USB stick as a modem so that users can access the Web anywhere and anytime, offers a High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) that enables you to surf at high speeds but varies in different areas.

Below are some helpful tips so that you can use your Globe Tattoo Broadband more effectively (from Cher's blog post):
    1. Check if your area is included in the HSDPA listing. This will save you a lot of frustrations and calling up the customer service from time to time. As a reference of the variable internet speeds depending on the signal, here's a screenshot of the chart from the Globe Tattoo's official site.
    2. If you're going to be spending several hours just browsing or downloading media, it's better to set your browsing status to Time-based. The setting for all Globe Tattoo SIMS by default is Time-based. You will be charged Php5.00 for 15 minutes.
    3. If you're just going to quickly check an email or a site, set your browsing status to a "Per-KB" browsing. You will be charged only 15 centavos per kilobyte. To switch from Time-based to Per-KB browsing just text KB to 1111 using your Globe Tattoo SIM.
    4. To check your default browsing, text STATUS to 1111.

Globe Tattoo Broadband also sees the uniqueness in every internet user. They offer cool skins for their users. Now, that's really a great experience when you have a Globe Tattoo Broadband with a skin that suits your personality.

You can choose your own Globe Tattoo Broadband New Skins and more on the Globe Tattoo Broadband Gallery. If not satisfied and you want to share to the world your own design of the USB skins, feel free and submit it to the Globe Tattoo Broadband Gallery. The more users that will rate your decide and if it's a thumbs up, you'll be given Php 5,000.00 and see your actual Globe Tattoo Broadband unit that you designed! That's amazing!

Once I will have my own laptop, I'll say hello to my new Globe Tattoo Broadband.

I will be at the Mar-Korina wedding tomorrow!

When I was contacted by one of Senator Mar Roxas' staff last Tuesday and asked for my home address, I was wondering why. Then, I came to realize that Senator Roxas and Korina Sanchez' wedding will be this October 27 and probably, I am in the list of the invited guests.

I knew it! I got the invitation last October 22, together with my PIN from Google Adsense (finally!).

Tomorrow morning, I will be flying by plane and will go straight to Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City where the wedding will take place. I was worried that I can't bring a digicam for this momentous event, but no worries because a Senate staff told me that there will be lots of photographers who will be there.

I' m proud to be a Technologian (student of Cebu Institute of Technology) that will be attending this event.

I will update you about the wedding as soon as I get back online.

Cebu Bloggers Society as my Philippine Bloggers' Choice Special Award

As we get ready for the 2009 Philippine Blog Awards (Visayas) here in Cebu, I'm nominating and fully-supporting our group, the Cebu Bloggers Society (CBS), as the Philippine Bloggers' Choice Special Award.

Without a doubt, (and I can attest to it) CBS has become one of the most important blogging groups in the Philippines with its sense of camaraderie, unity, respect and cooperation among its member bloggers. It has continued to raise the standard to blogging here in Cebu and continues to deliver its tagline: "Promoting Cebu through Blogs."

As one of the founders of CBS, a lot has changed since it started. I thought it was impossible to unite Cebu-based bloggers under one group. But that idea was defeated. Despite the differences of every member, we still find our commonalities. Then there's the civility. Probably, we may differ on our views online but we still remain civil offline as this is the nature of the group.

With more and more new members joining CBS, I can foresee that this will be the premiere blogging group not only in Cebu, but also in the entire Philippines.

    To CBS and beyond!

    Other blog posts nominating CBS:
    1. Mikyu - PBA 2009: Bloggers’ Choice Special Award
    2. Jorich - CBS for PBA 2009 Bloggers’ Choice Special Award
    3. Rabsin - Cebu Bloggers Society for Bloggers' Choice Award

    6. Jayr888 - My 2009 Philippine Bloggers Choice Award

Orange Brutus Food Trip with Cebu Bloggers Society

Together with my Cebu Bloggers Society (CBS) family, we were invited for a food trip by Cebu's Orange Brutus in their MEPZA Branch (it's far far away from where I believe but I was still there though I was a bit late).

They are promoting their new Budget Meals that is affordable to everyone, especially US students who are always on a budget when we eat.

They also want to erase the notion that they're too late when it comes to preparing food. Take note, Orange Brutus cooks and prepares your food while you order. Other fastfood chains love to prepare your food and it stays their, waiting for someone to order it. Now that's a big difference.

Thanks to Mrs. Loeren Ortega-Atillo, Orange Brutus' Marketing Officer and Ms. Nina Kokseng – Misa, Orange Brutus' Executive Assistant for accommodating us. We really had fun!

    Chicken Steak

This one took my eyes from the traditional beef steak. Although Orange Brutus is the home of the best burger steak, I can't wonder how this one tastes. I grab a bite, and I can't get enough. I wanted to have one but the other yummy foods just took me away.

    Beef Teriyaki

Who would have thought that this was the Beef Teriyaki. At first, I wonder what it was. No one told me then. I asked my fellow blogger, Sinjin Pineda, on what it was. Ahh... it's the Beef Teriyaki! It was quite different from the others because it was a bit sweet. Tastes good!

    Chocolate Monster

Now this one really sealed everything! One bite just kept me from getting more! The Chocolate was no monster for me because it didn't look scary but it became monstrous when I had to grab for me. The taste of real chocolate really delighted my mouth. I wonder how they made this one.

    Photos courtesy of Sinjin Pineda

If you also want to taste what we tasted, be sure to visit your nearest Orange Brutus branch in your area. Tell them, I recommended them to you.
