So because you don’t like someone’s opinion, they are racist, ignorant and be quiet?

Girl, your opinion deeply offends me. Please, shut the fuck up.

No, I completely respect the fact she has a right to an opinion - but this isn’t about liking someone’s opinion or not agreeing with someone’s opinion.

This is about racism.

This is about someone pointing out that a certain race exploits and treats women poorly - which is a racist statement. Now, what was not posted was the continue conversation that was completely derogatory to this race. 

I am not sorry that my opinion deeply offends you, you’re entitled to think that. Racism offends me. Racism in the workplace deeply offends me. 

You will not find a differing opinion on this blog.

Now this woman is wonderful, she’s very nice so I was shocked that something like that could come out of her mouth.

I waited to see if anyone would say anything.

Nothing.

I stood up and walked over to her and very politely told her that what she had said, while maybe not meaning it, was incredibly racist and highly offensive. I told her that I was offended hearing it and would greatly appreciate it if she could please, please, please contain her ignorance until she was alone.

So. No gay marriage:

Well, it’s good to see such all-inclusive, well-rounded arguments that pertain to people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and beliefs.

I was just talking about this on Facebook. 

It bothers me so incredibly much because one major fact is always overlooked.

These same-sex couples are not being married in a church or religious ceremony! 

Why, why why whywhywhywhywhy is religion even being taken into account in a non-religious ceremony? This shouldn’t be an issue, this shouldn’t even be worth considering. 

You can have heterosexual marriage within the church - that’s fine, have your beliefs and stick with them. Don’t try to dominate a legal union that has no religious component. You’re basically saying that EVERYONE married without YOUR religious ceremony is not truly married.
