Musician Libbie Linton hired me to design the packaging for her debut album, Bird Wings in the Bleak. For the artwork, I recreated the infamous wreck of Ernest Shackleton's ship, The Endurance, in the bleak setting of Utah's salt flats. As the only great photo's from the Endurance are nearly 100 years old, I rebuilt the scene out of about 20 contemporary photographs of current ships, landscape, and textures — as well as a little of Shackleton's original ice pack.

Every now and then I find myself making new artwork for albums in my iTunes library. Usually for live or unofficial recordings, sometimes as alternatives for the uniformly bad cover art of classical recordings. This has become one of my favorite side projects, and a great opportunity to experiment, try new things, and to play.

I developed the brand for the philanthropic women's group, Start Something Beautiful. Our goal was to create an identity that symbolized feminity without resorting to florals; and strength without copping to masculine analogs.
The brand has been a tremendous success: easily rallied to, enforceable yet adaptable — it lent credibility from the get-go and has grown with the organization to what it is today.
