As an architect, my fascination lies in the play between space, light and materiality, and how these aspects shape their users' experience. Together with my clients, I find the best possible solution for a given project, and give a concrete shape to this experience.
As a person, I am a visual-things-enthusiast with a penchant for sketching, photography and travel. I'm a creative thinker, and always looking to learn new things, to analyse the world around me and come up with new solutions.

PC and Mac proficient. Skilled in Autodesk AutoCAD and Maya, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and Microsoft Office. Basic knowledge of Google SketchUp and Rhinoceros 3D.
Since my graduation, I have been active a a self-employed architect. I have been involved with the renovation of Gasthaus Post in the town of Gütenbach in the Schwarzwald region of Germany. In addition to the design of new guest rooms in the historic main building and an extension for wellness facilities, I have worked on feasibility studies for the region. Currently, I am working on a study of design workshops in Dutch high schools.
The traineeship 'Eerst de Klas' (the Dutch equivalent to Teach First) harnesses the energy, enthusiasm and drive of university graduates to provide leadership, motivation and, above all, inspirational teaching in schools across the Netherlands. In addition to earning a master's degree in education, the participants take part in a two-year Leadership Development Programme which gives graduates the skills, experience and leadership development training to excel in careers in any field.
As part of the Eerst de Klas program, I worked on a project for the Infrastructures & Cities branch of Siemens. This project is concerned with business development and studies how Siemens can contribute in a new sustainable mobility plan for the Amsterdam area. We presented our findings in the inspiration document 'Picture of the Future; Amsterdam duurzaam mobiel 2040'.
As a teacher I transfer my knowledge to 1st year students in O&O (design & technology) and mathematics, and 5th year students in science. I have worked on exams and educational materials, and as member of the O&O team I have worked on the development of a new curriculum.
I filmed lectures for the TU Delft as member of the Collegerama team, and set up and handled the equipment that was used. In addition, I provided technical support to the lecturers as neccessary.
At APTO. I worked on the interior design for for the new office of the Schiphol Area Development Company (SADC) at Schiphol airport. I was part of the entire design process of the project: from initial concept to 1:5 detail drawings for the the built project.
