Let’s try this again, this was first a tweet, but I saw that it was not going to work.

I’m not by any means taking Alec Baldwin’s side at all, I was not there. However, while I was on the choir caroling trip today, I did witness something similar. A chaperone thought that she would be a bit too proactive and take everyone’s phone up and put it into a box to prevent some people from texting during performaces. Why some people thought it was necessary to do that, I have no idea. ANYWAY, my point now, taking someone’s device is not the answer. As technology gets more and more addictive, people are going to be glued to their devices and just plain taking them or telling them to turn them off is not going to work. If anything, it makes them a heck of a lot more insubordinate My message to teachers and leaders alike, find a better solution. And, if you tell one person to put it away, tell everyone to do it.

Just my two and a half cents

Wow, it's been a while!

As the title says, I mean it. Really, I have no excuse why I have not sat down and wrote here. Summer was not bad, went by pretty fast. Loving the new high school! Much more happier place to be, happy God has placed me here. Neat how I got to meet some people again that I have not talked to in years. Happy that next year some friends will be coming over to the high school too. I also like getting to take different classes! So far, most of my classes are going well, I believe it is the second week of the second quarter. First quarter’s report card was pretty good. The dating market is definitely different, if not harder. I like the challenge. It moves pretty fast, but shows more opportunity. I like also that the school has a nice reward system in place for students and theme days. I am enjoying the poetry unit in English currently, hopefully I will be able to post one or two of my poems before Monday. No promises though, got something to do Saturday, but maybe. Take care everyone, going to try to write here more. I need too!

S.I.P. (Swim in peace) Jonathan

Very sorry to say that Jonathan did not make it. Really hard for me right now, I believe he just caught a viral version of dropsy because the water quality could not be better in my tank. I am looking at the other two right now.

I just want to say, goodbye Jonathan, may you swim freely in a much better place.

It is pretty hard to find a good man these days because we are probably killing them all!

Accusing

Accusing is an accuse no matter how much you sugar coat it.

Nothing more ticks me off when someone accuses me and then when they are wrong they do not apologize. To me, it is rude and arrogant. More so, depending on what is at stake, it is even worse. Sure, even if it is simple, you still said that the person you’re accusing has done something wrong or immoral. I see accusing almost as judgement too, you are judging-with what you think is evidence-the person on what you think that they have performed. Anyway, I always try to nicely say, “sorry” or “my bad” when I care that I have miscalculated my judgement on them.

More time...

If you do not already know, next year I am leaving my current school and moving onto a public high school.

With this-having gone to my current school for 10 years-I am pretty excited and go on. New things and opportunities await me there that my current school will never offer.

I will not type this away saying that I will not miss people and teachers, if I did that, I would be lying. I have already got sad bye’s and heartfelt gifts. I think I will miss the cool coaches that have done some pretty considerate things for me and the better teachers (not the psychos). I kinda wish I had more time to finish things with some people, though I am most definitely counting down to summer because of the extra hard work. It’s been a real pain in the butt to have to ride on the hard peddling when the teacher (yeah, it’s pretty much just one) cannot control the class.

However, I really am looking forward to meeting new people (10 years of some of the same people can be a royal pain at times). I hope that I can keep in touch with some of the people, it will be a great time and a new start next fall though. :)

The trackmeet was not bad today overall, a little less people missed their events, mostly because less people came this time. Still kinda frustrating at times, was really sad because a 6th grader was doing the 100m hurdles and fell once and lost her footing the rest of the race. She is a great person, and strong because she ran also ran a 100m dash and a substituted in a 4 X 200m. I don’t think she had and cuts because she just skidded on the track, but still to be banged up like that. Overall, today was windy, and at the end a bit rainy. Coach told me if I see a tornado, to head for the “main gym.” They called it right before the 300m hurdles. I knew something was up when the ladies in front of me, I believe they were from Plainview, and the Madil group, started cleaning up. I was kinda tired today, I think it was because of the stupid thunder that was happening this morning that kept me up. I think the only thing I mainly missed at school was the chemistry presentations, everything else seemed slow for the 8th graders. Pretty happy I went even though it got called early, the weather was pretty scary on the way back. Thank God for no tornado, and the safe driver.

Life is messy, you cannot clean stuff up like Disney.
History teacher, said today
Ever happen to you?

Ok, so you have that friend, you know you are in his mass text (or email) list, but when you text (or email) them they do not always reply. By the way, this person can be a she…… Just pretty stupid how some people can be.

Wow, I know someone who is genius

Well, I must say, [name withheld] you are a genius, I did not see this before of how you have kept her attention. Really interesting article, but really showed me something I was not evening thinking of. The article is in the source link, sorry, still new to how this new blogging thing rolls!

Couple days ago while at school my teacher was not sure if the music video for Blow by Ke$ha was appropriate.
  • Me: Yeah, it is fine, nothing wrong, just unicorns
  • Teacher: Do the unicorns do anything to her?
  • Me: No
  • Teacher: Does she do anything to the unicorns?
  • Me: Uh, no
  • Other student: Well the unicorns do have that horn....
AIM IM posting test

Giving posting via AIM, test test. Can you hear me now?

Woah

Cool! Posting from email actually works! Now I just need to fix this theme….. Maybe today I will find one that suits me.

Giving this a shot....

Just giving Tumblr a try, I plan on keeping and using my Twitter account, but I want something that I can write and tell stories beyond 140 characters. Bare with me as I find my theme and the way I want to utilize this exactly. Anyway, thanks for reading and maybe getting on this ride with me! Hit me up on Twitter, love to hear from you.
