I'm currently working for stuff for my design bechelor's degree, it's one of a few (so far two) posters for a faux game design studio for which I'm doing a complete identity system design, trying to picture how the logo and the general 'feel' of the design might fit into various game posters (not added yet into this one). So, since I have a faux game developer, I might as well make made up games - this one's supposed to be a Final Fantasy-esque dragon-fighting RPG or something.

Now that I think about it, it would be cooler if the story was about an enchanted dragon dentist.

The task was to reimagine an existing (real or fictional) character in three different time periods: the past, the present and the future. I guess Gargamel keeps chasing those smurfs.

(the third one comes from a future, where the smurfs discovered that there's nothing better to smurf than human flesh. Nobody expected the smurf apocalypse, eh?)

Book designs (these are actually only the fronts of the bookjackets, too tired to post/prepare for showing the rest, maybe later) for Stephen King books.

This time not a render (I forgot to photograph the washing powder box and my prof took it), but an actual photo in the awesome photo studio that is my living room.

June 20, 10:21 AM

Washing powder packaging design. Bring back the pixels!

(this is actually a render of the box. I wanted to put up a flash that allows to see box from all angles, but I guess this category doesn't like flash)

The text on the box (besides Lorem ipsum obviously...) says "washing powder" (on the front) and "game over for stains" (on the back), as well as "color" here and there (since this is a variant for color clothes, there's also a slight variation for white clothes)

//edit:
Since I got some spare time, I changed the render to include the back of the box, as well as scaling down the image size. 2 MiB PNG! Craaaaazy.

Logotype design for the International Comics Festival in Lodz. Not associated in any way with the actual event, just school work. Business cards, letterhead, poster and probably mug design are also on the way, I'll post'em when I have them all done.

April 25, 01:39 PM

School work, poster design for Lodz Design Festival. It's only a concept, I haven't actually checked up if the website and the date are actually incorrect I'll probably change them to what they should be at a later time.

Lodz Design is property of ŁÓDŹ ART CENTER (and probably registered trademark or something), with which I have no connection whatsoever, the name and theme was only used for the sake of designing.

April 25, 01:27 PM

School work, poster design for a social campaign about cleaning up dog feces. Text basically says "Plug that hole. Or at least start cleaning up feces.".

Work for Print class, digital art assignment. Original size is A3 in 300dpi. Should have three prints on smooooth Fabriano paper in a week or two, mmm.

I'll post some drypoint, linocut and screen prints sometime maybe, though I'm not really satisfied with the first two (screen printing is WIP so far). Just didn't have enough time to make them nice enough, so I basically call them unfinished.

Contrary to a probable, popular belief, I am, in fact, not dead yet. A couple of test renders from the first scene of the movie (not actual shots, camera's not placed, and the cloth needs a little tweak (didn't include hands in collision objects...)).

Also the arms seem to be placed a bit not how I imagined them (see the sphere on the shoulder), but rigging the skeleton again would be a complete time killer. Let's just leave it as it is and pretend it was supposed to be that way. Dear God, look how suprisingly well the arms are positioned!

I'm shocked there's no straight calendar category to be found.

June 2009 calendar design, you know, Children's Day (in Poland, I mean). Stuff. I guess it's pretty solid, the ball needs some smoooooothing and the camera needs a teeny nudge up, but I guess I won't change much more.

Oh yeah, teddy needs his mouth the same color as his belly. Silly me! Will fix.

March 18, 06:50 PM

Storyboard for the animation (concept art also in the gallery, if you haven't noticed. Notice now.). I realize the story is retarded, but that's how I like it.

Also ActionScript 3.0 is fricken Java. I heard it was different than 2.0, but that just suprised me, ya know? Also not that intuitive as I'd like, actually puts obstacles. I know you want it advanced (classes for ftw!), but what's wrong with just clicking an object and writing stuff for it? Needed about 30 minutes to figure out how to make those buttons... Embarassing really, sporting an A in Java class...

March 09, 05:54 PM

The third and last character for the modelling and animation project (go see the other two if you haven't yet! [link] [link] ). Tried to keep it as simple as possible, thrown away some other ideas, which actually might have been for the better. At first he was supposed to be covered in spikes (like a bastard son of The Shrike from Hyperion), then was supposed to be robed and growing spikes later (animating a robe - what was I thinking!), now it's a green blob (now that I think of it, he might be something of a cross between a snail, a blowfish and a hummingbird...) that grows spikes... hence Jezyk (hedgehog in Polish... maybe I'll change that to Jerzyk to keep with the naming convention of the characters to resemble a Polish name o_O. Oh yeah, he also hovers on tiny wings, didn't want to bother with animating yet another walking character... Yup, pretty straightforward. It's featureless, emotionless, doesn't really need a texture beside some standard material, doesn't move much, and the only animation other than the slow hovering is sticking out it's tantacle-thingie and growing spikes - I'll just cover him with fur that has really BIG and spiky hair of course, as little job as possible on my part... he's perfect

ALSO THE STORY MAKES SENSE IN MY HEAD I PROMISE.

March 04, 06:00 PM

Another character concept art for this semester's modelling and animation project, as promised. As you probably see, the front view is missing, but I guess I'll just let it go, I think it's pretty straithforward, and the draft on the left is almost en face... ANYWAY. Why do I have the notion all this will be a bitch to model?

Anyway, one character concept left and the storyboard is 1/3 done I guess.

YES THE NAMES ARE RETARDED.

February 28, 05:54 PM

Character concept art for this semester's modelling and animation project. More to come, as well as a storyboard.

(yeah, I know, it's pretty rough)

January 03, 05:51 PM

One of the tasks for this semester's Photography class. It's a "collage of photos of a space or object, that shows it in a new way". Haven't showed it to the proffesor yet, if I'm told it sucks balls I'm taking it down ._.

EDIT: According to the proffesor the top-right corner was too boring, so I made it CREAAAAZYYYY. Crazy like that. Mucho loco, and so on.

I just love this sign. Dunno if I could find it again, I started to wonder around with my camera and got kind of lost...

July 29, 04:51 PM

Oh shit, someone threw Raziel off a plane!

A few hours, I dunno. Listening to stuff, half the time Once soundtrack, then some versions of Over The Rainbow, then some stuff again.

I dunno, doing some Raziel cheers me up I guess.

WHO'S GOING TO PRZYSTANEK WOODSTOCK THIS WEEKEND I SURE AM.

(Raziel is property of Ubisoft or some shit like that. Peace!)

(always wanted a lone dot in the artist's comments... oh wait..)

July 11, 05:14 PM

Yeah, I guess I did some experimenting.

October 21, 06:35 AM

Not much to say about this one, sorry. Let's just say I wanted to make something small because I was bored.

September 18, 06:47 AM

*slurp*

September 09, 09:34 AM

It's not an easy task to fool the Glowball.

Tools: Adobe Photoshop CS2 + Wacom Graphire 3
Time: Can't count, I suck at concentration, get distracted by shiny objects and end up doing stuff for weeks. It took few hours, I guess...
