A new year, a new project.

(I know we’re well into February already, but I overheard someone wishing someone else a happy new year about two days ago, and though I found it kind of weird at the time I’m going to use it as an excuse to open with that.)

Welcome to Things We’re Not Going to Talk About. A zine. The purpose of which is to try and make as many of the people around me feel uncomfortable by forcing them to divulge as many explicit details regarding as many delicate subjects as possible. Such as heartbreak!

Which, coincidentally, is the topic of the first issue, titled hearts i tried not to break but did. Featuring 6 interviews about love, loss, whiskey and regret.

Over the next few weeks I will be posting a selection of the interviews here on this blog. As well as a preview of the zine over here.

The full zine will be available in physical form for $5 (US) and digital form for $1 over here.

i'm obsessed with your taste in music. also did you happen to watch the show chuck, by any chance? a song from each of your last two WILTs were featured on the show! and where do you even find all this indie music anyway?

scratch that, i just looked through your past WILTs and saw that post in which you say that you do indeed watch chuck, haha. anyways, i came across your blog last month or so when i was scouring the internet desperately for a download of “love can make your mind wild,” so thanks for that!!

Thanks so much for the feedback! I think this is genuinely the first fan mail I’ve ever received, which is extremely nice.

As that post probably would have mentioned, yes I love ‘Chuck’ despite the fact the show deteriorated in its fourth season. It will always have a soft place in my heart.

I do spend a lot of time browsing music blogs for new and interesting music and always have a keen ear when watching TV show for their often brilliant soundtracks.

Although of course there are months where maybe I struggle to find as quality of music as I would like, or often feeling uninspired or busy and the Album Art or Compilation as a whole suffers. But that’s just part of the creative process I guess.

Anyway, thanks for downloading and listening. Hopefully I can introduce to many more great Artists and Songs for years to come!
